What am I going to do without ER?!

Have sent DH out to the shops so I can watch in peace and quiet, though he'll be back in time to see me sobbing as I no doubt will be.

Is anyone else out there going to be sad at the last ever ER?

glitteryb6 Thu 28-May-09 20:39:18

Totally! Taping it and might need to buy the boxsets, probably never get round to watching it all again but would be nice to have them sad

OMG just seen Dr Greene die again, gets me every time!!!

Reminder to self - they're just charachters, not real people!!!!

I can't believe it's really ending. It's been part of my life for such a long time (that sounds absurd but you know what I mean). I am quite tempted to get the box sets glittery

Are you watching "Previously on ER"? Just watched Mark's final scenes and am sobbing my heart out! Thankfully DH is in the study and can't hear me blush

Am already getting tearful and it's only the 'previously' programme. I was sure i'd watched every episode of every series but there were some story lines that I don't remember. Am desperately hoping they start running it from the beginning again - simply can't afford the box sets!

DH is late at work, and am just about to remind him he'll be coming home to a sob-fest...watery smile

That would be fab, but can they do it in the evening not middle of the afternoon!

Sheeta Thu 28-May-09 21:20:35

Waaaaa.... no idea what i'm going to do.

Compulsory bottle of wine and settling in for the last episode.. there's gonna be many tears/

glitteryb6 Thu 28-May-09 21:21:48

i have wine too! grin may cry!

ThePhantomPlopper Thu 28-May-09 21:21:48

Start watching Grey's Anatomy.

So cross that this is only on More4. Does anyone know if they are going to put the series on Channel 4?

glitteryb6 Thu 28-May-09 21:23:31

used to love House too but the new series is going to Sky and i only have Freeview, Lost went the same way too!

spicemonster Thu 28-May-09 21:24:33

Okay quick - who reckons that Gates and Sam will get back together by end of episode? And any other guesses to storylines? Quick, quick!

TheRealMrsJohnSimm Thu 28-May-09 21:26:51

Was wondering if they are planning to show it on Channel 4 too hmm. Haven't watched any of the rest of this series as only realised we could access More4/E4 a few days ago! Doh! Couldn't stand not to watch it once I knew this was the last ever episode sad

FairLadyRantALot Thu 28-May-09 21:30:32

will be watching it in a minute on more+ , but it will be sooo sad..it feels so weird to think it is the last ever episode....re-runs just aren't the same once the series stops, iykwim...

know I love house, too...but it just isn't the same,is it...

francagoestohollywood Thu 28-May-09 21:34:18

Is this really the last show ever? I lost track of ER since moving away from the UK. But I loved it so much. I cannot like any other medical drama. I find Gray's anatomy unbelievably irritating.

Sheeta Thu 28-May-09 21:34:53

are all the ER groupies in their 30's? Just a theory......

House is a good replacement, Grays Anatomy does NOT come close.

I am sure they'll start looping it on C4 or More4 again soon.

glitteryb6 Thu 28-May-09 21:35:56

38!

Sheeta Thu 28-May-09 21:37:36

Sheeta Thu 28-May-09 21:38:00

Why is Rory Gilmore in the last episode when she wasn't in any others?

FairLadyRantALot Thu 28-May-09 21:39:58

38 (nearly 39, psstttttt)

francagoestohollywood Thu 28-May-09 21:44:02

I'm nearly 39.

TheOldestCat Thu 28-May-09 21:47:07

33!

..and already welling up.

Sheeta - there are lots of oldtimers in it tonight, I think.

strawberrylace Thu 28-May-09 21:49:23

i was also surprised to see Rory Gilmore - brand new face in last episode - such a shame cos I miss the Gilmore Girls

glitteryb6 Thu 28-May-09 21:56:07
