Where's Andy Pandy gone?

We have had to tell DD (22mo) that he has gone on holiday. We had just got over them changing the time of Charlie & Lola and DD had just got hooked on Andy Pandy when it disappeared from bedtime hour. Wasn't keen myself but it was short and she liked it. She only gets to watch a couple of shows a day between teatime & bathtime (6-6.30ish). The past couple of nights C&L has finished and she has got her milk & settled on the sofa ready, eagerly chanting "pandy pandy" only to find some roly mo story filler thing. "where pandy?" she asked tonight forlornly so DP said he had gone on holiday. She didn't seem totally convinced.

I know! I thank god I have 2 episodes sky+'d but am getting sick of them already.
I wish CBeebies would warn us when they are about to make a change, like that horrific time last year when they removed ITNG and put on 64 zoo lane and rubbadubbers...that was not fun.

We survived that one ok as ITNG was slightly too late for her then so had recorded loads and showed them a bit earlier than scheduled. No Andy Pandy recorded. She asked again last night after Charlie & Lola. Sorry, he's still on holiday. Don't know if he is coming back tho. They could have at least moved it to a different time to give us a chance to record some.I may have to order some but prefer playing off the recorder as then dont need to open tv unit which she finds intriguing.

Apparently Looby Lou ran amok with the craft scissors, Tiffo bit Teddy and Andy Pandy has eloped with Missy Hissy in Bilbo's boat.

Cbeebies have had to hush it all up.

DVD with ten stories for £4?

It did seem as tho it had been withdrawn as none of the rest of the schedule changed. Maybe it was to do with Teddy's xenophobic tendencies after he ousted the new ball by catapulting it out of the garden using the see-saw rather than learning to all play together

DS keeps asking about it too. I thought it was withdrawn for rampant sexism after the episode where Andy Pandy can't sew on a button and has to ask Louby Lou to do it.

Or maybe Tom Conti went on strike!

I'm 41 and can still remember toppling the tv on myself because I was trying to climb in to be with him.

"Or maybe Tom Conti went on strike!"

Who would be able to tell the difference? I've never heard a more 'phoned-in' narration in all my life. Although I do like the way he says 'hot.. sweet.. drink'. I need to get out more...

I can't help loving the man though.

Most particularly for 'I could kill you with my thumbs' in Friends

And of course Shirley Valentine - 'you wanna make fock on my boat?'

It is a horribly sexist prog. Andy is always doing the DIy and Looby is always cooking.

DD likes the dog though. And I like the way Tom Conti says "Tiddy" (sic)
