I thought that too. He was badly burned with the Michelle business a couple of years ago I reckon - now has a bee in his bonnet about 'don't give me any of that "I'm just like you Sir Alan" crap'. And Michelle falling pregnant/ Katie's kids didn't exactly help.

but all the women on this year's were bloody awful. Why should he employ them just because they're women?

All the candidates were bloody awful, IMO

I wouldn't have employed any of the women on this year's Apprentice either.

No.

And there's no point in watching this chauvinist old fool, either.

Because Claire was better than Lee? And Kristina was better than Simon? And Badger was better than the rest of them put together?

why would any smart woman want to work in that environment?

Claire was definitely the most competent person in there

But was Claire better than Lee? I am not sure she was. Lee certainly came across as more employable, and more like apprentice material. Claire was pretty much a finished article - Lee was mre like a trainee candidiate (which is what the apprentice job is supposed to be). Also Claire's mouth let her down - she would be a real nightmare to work with, even just for colleagues if not a boss, unless she learns to calm down with the mouth!

She wasn't that gobby. Now Tre, he was gobby. And Badger. Clare wasn't in the same league.

Working for Sugar's tinpot enterprise wouldn't be a bundle of laughs. Those senior managers are vile and he had to wheel in Karen Brady for 'the woman's perspective' and the fragrant Margaret can't work for him either, she's an external lawyer, I believe. We all know Frances is an actress... In fact...TRIBUNAL!

She was still a pain - and I reckon she'd be a pain to with with and to have her work fo ryou.

Don't forget though - sir alan is looking for an apprentice. Someone he can mould and train up. He isn't looking for someone who is already competent at everything and has already reached a higher level int he work place. He needs someone who he can train to do things his way in the way he wants them done.

Claire was better that Lee I thought but from Sir Alans point of view much harder to manage. Lee turned on the other candidate cant remember her name when she didnt get sacked and was appalling to Lucinda while he sucked up to / played big boys with Alex. not a nice as he makes out.
