well sky news sensationalize evrything so I certainly wouldn't take anything they said as gospel.

what they said on the bbc was that people had complained to ITV that they couldn't get through but that ITV had said it certainly wasn't fixed.

as I read it, lots of people couldn't get through to vote for leon either so ..

And I got through to vote for Rhydian twice without any difficulty.

when millions of people are ringing the same number it goes without saying that some will find it more difficult to get through than others, that's how it is.

It's true though - for me at least! I never normally vote in these things but thought Rhydian was so much better than Leon (who could barely sing the song he is releasing) that DH and I decided to do our first ever reality vote, and couldn't get through - it kept saying the lines were busy so if you wanted to vote for him after his final performance like us, there were 3 mins left and you couldn't get through.

Probably sour grapes by Rhydian voters though, and both of them will probably have headed back to obscurity by next Christmas anyway... And not having been able to vote means we didn't end up wasting any money lining Simon Cowell's pockets, so the busy phonelines probably saved us from ourselves

HolidaysQueen I guess that is one positive about not voting. The egotistic, vain Simon Cowell hardly needs more cash now does he? I despise the man.

I wouldn't be so sure that you weren't charged - I know often getting to the message incurs a charge(!). Would be worth checking!

80 viewers complained apparently.

I find it rather sad that people would take the time to complain to ofcom that they were unable to get through to a telephone vote!

but just because the phone lines were busy is hardly indicative of a fix.
