Royal B**tards Rise of the Tudors

Anyone watch this on Sky? Have to say it was brilliant. 3 episodes of how the Tudors came to reign and the story of Margaret Beaufort & the war of the roses. The style of the program was well done and really interesting (and easy to follow the who's who) I was always confused on who Richard III was and how there seemed to be the same people on both sides of the war of the roses. It explains it all really well and clearly.

Just wondering if anyone else watched it?

I know Schaden my DH is constantly saying we should get rid of it but I think it's worth it for the History & Crime channel alone!

It's good Von isn't it, I binged watched all 3 episodes. I love how each house has a voice and they explain the basics of what's happening. Philip Glenister suits being the voice of the house of Yorkists.

I hope there's more historical stories told like this

Watching it right now. It's excellent. We're always told how passive and powerless women were in history but this really shows how the men were almost manipulated by these clever and politically astute women.

I've watched the first episode and really enjoyed it. Living in a republic I find the idea of a royal family so strange as it's just whoever is the biggest thug gets to reign!
