Absolutely loved it!

My list of big house jobs includes 'declutter' in every room so I was hoping to put off doing it be inspired. Loved Stacey Solomon though would have liked more from Ivan on the cleaning.

I'm so here for this thread. Saw the pilot on iPlayer ages ago and have been hoping they'd make a series. Love it. It's like Marie Kondo "turned up to 11"

I loved it too and would love someone to come and do my house. Much more in my league than MK

Omg yes I saw the pilot too and was hoping they’d make a series! This family was so awesome. I hope they get some sort of psychological support too, they seemed to be dealing with quite a few issues. There is a very similar show on Netflix called Consumed, set in Canada.

Liked it too.

What’s the similar (same?) show with nick knowles presenting ?

Loved it.

And I have to be honest I’ve never seen Stacey Solomon on anything but she did a brilliant job on this - she came across as very real and carried the show really nicely.

Hope it’s a series!

I really liked it. I think Stacey is perfect to present it. I said to my ed that the eldest daughter on the show should have kept a pair of her ballet socks and framed them. It seemed to have been a big part of her life. She was such a lovely person, the whole family were, but I really felt for her. It's awful she was so bullied :(

I saw it... they did a great job! There was a very similar show on years ago, where they emptied the contents of the house into the garden to sort. The stuff they were chucking went into a big crusher. U.K. show but with an American presenter? Can't remember the name and it's driving me crazy! Anyone else old enough to recall it?

Love Stacey and this show was so great! Loved Nick Knowles one too www.channel5.com/show/nick-knowles-big-house-clearout

That was Life Laundry @MountainDweller. I think the crusher would be too overtly wasteful for 2021.

I assume we will see more of the cleaning in future episodes. That house wasn't grubby as much as it was just rammed full of stuff.

I agree though it was a great programme, looking forward to the next one.

That was it!!
They do the same thing don’t they.
Do they both have a little yellow house shape in the middle of the big storage place?

Life Laundry! Thank you @PermanentTemporary and @MrsIronfoundersson

Agree the crusher would be much too wasteful these days Shock

I loved it too and have decided to attack my stuff by type not room - bit of a revelation and feels way more manageable!

Stacey incredibly likeable. Never seen her in anything else, surprised by how enjoyable she was to watch.

Dawna from Life Laundry was awesome, I loved her!

So glad the pilot has been picked up as a series - my husband gave me a label maker after I was going on about how fun it would be.

I got carried away. Yep, I labelled the kids, the cat…

I found it fascinating that they never mentioned the cost of buying so much clutter.
The amount of money that pile of shoes represents is considerable.
Nor did they mention the carbon footprint of consuming so much stuff.
I too really enjoyed the programme though. And I did add more stuff to my charity shop sack after watching the programme.
The presenters do a good job of managing the families' emotions, in both the trailer and this programme. Decluttering can be a cause of conflict, so I wonder how the TV researchers choose suitable families.
