I've just finished Scott & Bailey, and Stephen Graham's Time, loved them, same as Luther, Marcella etc.

Looking for a new one now, what's good?

The first series of true detective is brilliant, I've not watched the other series of it yet.

Strike is also very good, I think you can still get that on catch up

Mare of Easttown was fantastic! I didn't think I'd like it because I've never been much of a Kate Winslet fan but it was VERY good.

Sorry if this is hijacking, but can I just ask if any of these are good to watch with older children (13 & 15 but not good with super scary stuff)?

Just watched The Pact. Really enjoyed it. Bbc iPlayer 6 episodes. Also The Serpent was a good one off series. Based on true events.

Before We Die. One of the central actors from Scott & Bailey’s in it.

Check out Walter Presents for subtitled ones. Top of my head: Floodland, All the Sins, Thou Shalt Not Kill. But there's loads.

Just watched Undercover on Netflix (it’s Flemish and bloody brilliant).

The Shield is my favourite police drama, also The Wire is great.

You didn’t mention Line of Duty which is an obvious one so you may have seen it.

Kill the Beast on Britbox is excellent. Set on the Isle of Wight, it's got a bit of a Broadchurch vibe (would recommend that as well). Stars Cush Jumbo & Jared Harris, both excellent!

Also
The Night Of
Seven Seconds

If you can get hold of Barry (HBO black comedy about a hitman trying to get into acting) then watch that - best series that’s been on for years

Strike is so good, if you've not already you should definitely read the books Smile
