Is back 18th April. I'm so glad we are getting a series this year, I find it such great escapism.

Is anyone else a fan?

Oh yes. I'd forgotten that there wasn't a series in January. It's always a welcome Sunday night distraction.

Looking forward to this. Any predictions anyone? Anything we would especially like to see?

If it's on at 8pm on Sunday that's going to be a marked change of mood and pace from CTM to Line of Duty at 9pm! Grin I love them both, so will be looking forward to this.

Predictions -

I think Lucille will get engaged/ married to Cyril

Possibly a romance with nurse Crane and the policeman (can't remember his name!)

Maybe a happy storyline for Trixie?

I saw a brief write up saying CTM takes on feminism? ie looking at social changes about women becoming more independent.

Though if it still has that slushy music throughout I wont be watching.

Maybe they will achieve cheesy feminism.

Didn't the grumpy policeman move away to go and live with his sister by the seaside after he got discharged from hospital?

I really want Lucille to at least get engaged to Cyril! I think they are a lovely couple Smile

Yes, DieSchottin93, leaving lovely Phyllis to support Miss Higgins.

Looking forward to the new series!

I don't really mind too much but oh my goodness it's time for Trixie to have something nice happen to her. It's getting ridiculous now.

(Like I'm Downton Abbey when as soon as someone got pregnant, either they or their partner was doomed. Boring.)

Just seen on the CTM Facebook page that 3 more series have been confirmed.

Yay! That'll take us up to 68 I think. Last series in 2020 was 65

Good news about the renewal for another 3 seasons. I expect that will be it after that though.

I was so excited to see a trailer last night. DM told me a new series was coming this month because she “knows” a producer, but there’s a lot of stuff that she “knows” that are utter boswlox.

I saw Dr Patrick Turner and Lucille on The One Show this evening (the actors who play them)! They were so different to the characters they portray. He for a start didn't look so old and grizzled as he does on 'Midwife' and she looked like an absolutely stunning young girl. They were both very natural and lighthearted.

They are very excited about the new series and talked about some of it but we'll have to wait and see how things unfold.
