Have no idea if this will be any good. But desperate for something worthwhile to watch.

Described as psychological thriller, so .... ?

I started watching but dozed off (excuse is that I've had a very long week) - is it worth watching again when I can concentrate on the characters/change in years?

I enjoyed it @Iwantacampervan.
Takes a bit of concentration to work out the time changes but once that's sussed, it's worth sticking with.
I'm enjoying the slow reveal and character development.
It's an "Is he who we think he is?"............

I found this so depressing. I dont know why. I do want to know how the story unravels.

But all of them seem quite upleasant people.

Add even though the main suspect is hardly likeable I am not happy that red heads are being made out as evil! Smile

I could only watch a few minutes. The LB reminded me of DS at that age. When he dropped the toy train I had to switch over.

It's not Scandinavian, it's Finnish. And it's not noir because a lot of it is set in Greece. The makers of this have said the noir thing is now very old, time to do new things.

I'm on episode 3 and enjoying it, I'm finding it quite gripping, no spoilers of course.

I'm enjoying this up to no 4. I dont mind that they're not particularly likeable and am liking the twists in the story which explains why they are how they are iykwim

Giving this a go. Gotta be better than Bloodlands.

Watching ep. 3 now. I have a deep sense of foreboding!

I've rewatched episode 1 when I was feeling more awake and have now sorted out the family (the brothers confused me at first) so I'm going to stick with it.

Watching e2

Would you really let your child go climbing with complete strangers they just met on holiday 🙄

Even more so if cousin was kidnapped years ago

We binged watched it to the end and it is worth sticking with. Yes, a few unrealistic things like why the 12 yr old sneaked out to go climbing with a man he had only just met, and no one actually had a good holiday in Greece!

I’ve got up to episode 3 but I’m struggling to keep interested, if I’m honest. I’m also sensing that it could all get a bit daft/implausible. Does it pick up?

I watched 3 & 4 last night so feel okay to comment as it is a week by week no spoilers thread.

But in fact all I wanted to say was what a load of unpleasant people. Well particularly the men.

Will keep with it just to see how they sort out the plot, but it does seem to have echos of so many other crime dramas.

I almost didn't bother with episode 4 last night. As you say, what an unpleasant bunch of men.
And I pity Kalle for being part of it. Simultaneously over-protected and neglected by his family.

I want to know how they got that adorable tiny tot, who played Tomi, to go and put his wellies on at just the right time?
My heart was in my mouth as he wandered out the door then legged it.
I am still enjoying it.
It's a bit of a slow plod but then just as I'm about to nod off, they throw another twist/key piece of information into the mix and it perks me up again.
No-one is quite who I thought they were in the beginning.

Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't watched all of it!

Despite that nasty men I found I got into it more. Thought how the family members were portrayed was quite convincing, if sad.

But what a let down the final episode was. Couldn't they have come up with something more in keeping with the other episodes? It just turned into one of those run of mill shock horror not quite slasher movie.

What a shame.

Would have thought they could have reached the same conclusion in some more adult, if talky, way.
