I’m finding I need something a bit lighter recently.
If I like death in paradise, call the midwife and Shakespeare and Hathaway what else might I like?
Thank you

Schitts creek is rather heartwarming

9GreenBottles Sun 21-Feb-21 09:13:09

Wanted - on Netflix. Not directly made for laughs but a bit of a caper.

NoddyHoldersCrazee Sun 21-Feb-21 09:16:42

Ghosts!

covetingthepreciousthings Sun 21-Feb-21 09:17:40

Another vote for Ghosts. - on iplayer.

GlamGloria Sun 21-Feb-21 09:17:52

Schitts Creek, Offspring, Kath and Kim, Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development...

covetingthepreciousthings Sun 21-Feb-21 09:18:00

Ooh and Staged too on iplayer is brilliant.

mdh2020 Sun 21-Feb-21 09:41:19

Listen to Conversations from a Marriage on BBC Sounds. It has Joanna Lumley and Roger Allan playing a long-time married couple and is superb.

LunaNorth Sun 21-Feb-21 09:42:17

Call My Agent on Netflix. I’m obsessed.

viques Sun 21-Feb-21 09:47:09

Life in Pieces. Brilliant cast, very funny scripts.

viques Sun 21-Feb-21 09:48:36

Oh and I am another one who has recently found Superstore. Make sure you keep an eye on what is happening in the background!

Tartyflette Sun 21-Feb-21 09:50:07

Call My Agent is excellent.

SiliconHeaven Sun 21-Feb-21 11:28:45

Excellent suggestions thank you.

Motherland, if you haven't already seen it. (Though it's horribly sad underneath. And I am hunting down the main character's husband with unabashedly murderous intent.)

Brassic is enlivening and absorbing.

If you simply want something lovely, then yes, Detectorists. (GOAT)

Or This Country, which is also brilliant.

The only thing is, the things I've listed are mostly much more 21st c in their values and production than the things you've said you like.
