Where can I watch “Elizabeth is Missing”? (Was on BBC I think)

No longer on iplayer and annoyingly I didn’t manage to read it before the programme disappeared. Also checked Netflix, prime and YouTube, and can’t see any DVD of it either.

Anywhere else it might be lurking please? Or if you have watched it, how did it compare to the book?

Nowhere near as good as the book imo
Couldn't be bothered watching pt2

It's such a shame it's not on i-player, OP, wonder why? Glenda Jackson played a blinder in it. I've not checked, but if it's available on DVD it's certainly worth the money, she's such a quality actor who nowadays makes v.few appearances. Sad
All the best in your hunt for it.(Actually, I think it would be worth emailing BBC Productions and asking them where you can run down a copy - it's really that good, performed by a stellar actor.)
I realize that this goes against HBC above, but horses for courses and all that Smile

It does seem random how long they keep things on iPlayer. It was first shown end of last year, so maybe 6 months for a one off drama. Shorter for series I think.

But they quite often bring them back, so if you have a tv provider that lets you create a "wish list" it might be worth adding it there.

Or maybe it will turn up on BritBox www.britbox.co.uk/

I enjoyed it! Glenda didn't sound at all like the Maud that I had in my head when reading the book, though.

As stumbledin said above, the drama section on iplayer adds and drops previously shown productions pretty regularly. (Wolf Hall where did you go?!) They have just added all of the Strike series.

The book is much better. I can't remember what it's called though.

I think you’ll find it’s called Elizabeth Is Missing too, yaya :o

Thanks all for the different opinions! Shame it’s not available yet but I’ll keep an eye on iplayer. I’ll have a look at Britbox too, I’ve not used their free trial yet :o

I guess it wouldn’t be good to rush into watching it so soon after reading it, if it clashes too much. I really loved the book - not especially the plot, but just the way she wrote the inside of Maud’s head - it was heartbreaking to read the way she was forgetting but not realising she was forgetting, the way everything gradually got more and more mixed up. I’m not sure if a TV series could do that in the same way?!

I can't think of any dramatisation that has been better than the original book but Glenda Jackson is excellent at conveying, with her facial expressions alone, being lost in the labyrinth of her compromised brain.

There aren't two parts, it's a film.
