Does anyone else watch Four in a bed? I love it! Seem most of them along the years.

Well this weeks one ... bearing in mind I'm usually cooking, finishing work etc so got it on in the background really so half paying attention, ended really quite 😳😮

The chat bit clearly seemed to have broken into a fight and they didn't get back together to congratulate the winners ... any thoughts?

I love Four In a bed. Never seen an ending like this one.
Katrin looked like she had really been crying.

I love four in a bed. When did this one start? I’ll rewatch

New series started on Monday.

Holy shit. It was bad.
The Scottish BnB’s Faceboook, Google reviews and Trip Advisor have all been hijacked by people furious at the result.
Twitter is in overdrive.
I’ve watched the show for years and never seen anything like it.

I caught yesterday's episode that had a preview for today's and recorded it. Katrin has clearly been crying, it was awful.
The pair that won were horrible and makes a mockery of the TV show which I really enjoy usually, it's such a shame they were I think terribly two faced with their ratings versus massive underpayments, particularly on the lodge property.

These screenshots were from earlier today... Google has now removed most of the negative reviews. Their 5 star rating dropped to 1 earlier this afternoon.

According to the other contestants (The Portland Hotel) it did erupt in a fight. This is from The Portland’s Facebook business page:

”We can spill the beans. They weren’t in the room for the presentation as it nearly came to fisticuffs.”

m.facebook.com/pg/Theportland/about/

You could clearly see all parties were shaken and upset at the end of the programme.

Not just me who thought it was a strange one then!
Yes I definitely think they all seemed quite upset. The lady who won was awful, her husband wasn't much better. Definitely gameplay- bet they didn't realise their tactics may actually potentially ruin them

The Portland. I don’t understand the relationship between the general manager and the waitress. Which one owns the hotel?

I usually love Four In A Bed, but that pair ruined it for me this week!

They were unbearable. Also, the other three teams were so nice, the contrast was immense.
Karen seemed to have so much vitriol for something as minor as sleeping in a double bed instead of a king size.

She also couldn’t wait to dissociate herself from “square sausage” and treated the chap who asked for it as if he had requested she cook her first born child.

Clearly seriously insecure and a would be social climber. The conversations between her and her husband were SO spiteful in tone. And she had the cheek to pull the curtains and pole down in that one place, and then mark the hosts down for HER actions.

What a nightmare. British people are fundamentally fair, so I am not surprised to hear about the online comments and Trip Advisor reviews.
Tone deaf the pair of them. I would never stay at their place having seen their characters.

@Starksforthewin that square sausage incident was hilarious! I'm sure a quality butcher will provide a decent Lorne sausage

I wondered if the square sausage chap had stayed in, if they’d have behaved a bit better. They were so rude and I wonder if they would have been so rude if the beefy chap had stayed in.

Why did he leave?

Why did he leave?

He left due to illness. I read on the Portland Facebook page he badly hurt his back, so had to stop filming.

I don’t understand the relationship between the general manager and the waitress. Which one owns the hotel?

The General Manager is the boss/owner. Katrin (waitress) works part time at The Portland.

Did anyone see Karen's response to the outcry? (Attached). Incredibly, she's now insulting the general public. Her statement was on BnB Magazine's Facebook page, but it's now been removed.

This is fantastic news! Bloody love Four in a Bed, discovered it during lockdown and am working my way through the back catalogue. But I will zip straight to this nugget of gold now!

I love FIAB, think I've seen them all at this stage, there was always two stand out weeks for me, one from a few years ago where the owner of one b&b was so nasty to another that I'm surprised it was aired, I can't remember the name of all the b&bs but I think Bishops Dairy was one of them, the lady was lovely and made one comment about the other having too many knick knacks in the room and boy that did not go down well, he was vicious to her, it was horrible.

Another was a few weeks ago, a new to the b&b scene couple decided to base all their payments on bed shower and breakfast, so a third payment for each, that went down like a lead balloon and there were words at the final table which resulted in stony faced contestants not congratulating the winners or par taking of the champagne (those of the 1/3 payments) mind you they were really horrible to everyone, apparently they had to take down their face book page as things got really nasty on it.

And now this week has added to my stand out weeks, they were very silly really to carry on like that because I think they would have won anyway and everyone else would have been happy for them, so they really shot themselves in the foot.

Now thinking about it there are actually other weeks that do stand out, the guy who painted the shower tiles with emulsion before guests arrived because he thought it was funny, it wasn't, mind you he was gone before the end because of some incident and it turned out he didn't own the b&b anyway.

Sorry that is so long but it's one of my favourite shows Smile

The 'winning' couple would probably have won or been joint first anyway without being such nasty bastards! I thought they made everyone else look really good with their horrible strategy. The couple with the lodges were treated appallingly by them.

Yes, it was clear Karen and Graham considered themselves a cut above the others. Sadly for a social climber she could neither spell nor hold a knife. All the other contestants were lovely. How I would like to see the unaired argument. Grin

Couple 1 had an excellent product. They could (and likely would) have won on their own merit.

All the tearing down she did (she said "we" a lot but he seemed more laid back) just screams "Mean Girl" to me. No need. Her product could have spoken for itself and they could have all remained friends.

Tearing down everyone else's establishment has done them both a disservice. She should be ashamed.

The lodges looked amazing. I don’t know why that wasn’t her cup of tea. I suspect it was, but she was so far into her nasty plan she couldn’t back out.

The lodges were expensive compared to a B&B but it's a different product so not comparable

I’m trying to think of how to put this - Karen is a very particular kind of uppity Scottish woman who anyone who lives here will know at least one of. I’ll bet money the husband works or worked offshore (disclaimer - I know lots of perfectly lovely oil worker wives!). She is so far up herself, it’s hilarious.

I didnt know there was a new series until this thread popped up earlier. Ive now caught up so thank you

I think that couple would have won anyway. Their B and B was genuinely lovely.

She's the reason the name Karen is a meme
