Tonight's was a bit heavy on the snot'n'tears, wasn't it? If anyone can devise a way of Fletch responding quickly and successfully to his treatment and stopping Essie thinking that she should be able to carry on life as normal whilst she's undergoing chemo, please implement your plan ASAP.

Medani's torso was the only redeeming feature of this episode. I've no idea what the pills he bought were - any ideas?

I thought it might be Viagra at first - he's not as young as he used to be 😆

That crossed my mind at first, too, but it's not the sort of thing you have to set up a covert meeting in the Basement of Doom for is it? (And they didn't look blue) Wink

Isn’t it morphine? It came out after his accident that he was addicted to it so he ‘went home’ to recover.

Yeah my guess was it was painers of some sort, I couldn't remember what he had been addicted to.
Yeah def wrong with Medanis face last night. I didn't like it

I cannot stand Guy. He really gives me the creeps - I hate it every time he comes back. Mind you, he and Max deserve each other. Poor Louis :(

Louis is absolutely gorgeous, so glad he's getting a proper role!

Madani definitely needs the beard back. Poor Fletch, I hope they don't kill him off, I only started watching Holby because he moved over from Casualty.

Fletch has got prostate cancer, is that right? If so, then that's got pretty good survival rates for 5 and 10 years (I know this is Holby so it's usually the worst case scenario, but I'm going for the positive on this one!). Essie has pancreatic cancer I think I heard her say, and that's not good at all. So I'm guessing we'll be getting two parallel cancer stories with two very different outcomes...

Yes, I thought they did a good lesson on the symptoms actually without it being heavy handed.

Oh I thought Essie's was her ovarian cancer back. Did she say pancreatic then?

Report
spiderlight · 12/06/2020 14:39

Yes - possibly a secondary pancreatic tumour, I thought. I can't see that ending well. Poor Sasha.

Report
MissSueFlay · 13/06/2020 08:05

She would have have her ovaries removed in that big surgery she had when she was first diagnosed. This must be a secondary.
DH commented that Fletch's kids were 'a bit unlucky', which was something of an understatement!
Yes, Sasha is in for a rough ride, and I wonder what will happen with Isla.

Report
Optimist1 · 13/06/2020 08:32

I'm guessing that Isla's mother will reappear completely rehabilitated and ready to take her daughter back. Tearful deathbed scenes for St Essie?

they are still doing surgery in the dark or very low lighting

Yeah she'll contact Frankie once it's terminal, maybe give her her house so she has somewhere to live and all will be forgotten.
Poor Sacha.

Yeah Fletch can't die, that would be far messier. Also he needs to tell Jac. I'm glad she's having great sex but I like them together

If that lad Phoenix doesn't turn out to be Madani's son from the first time he and Bea were close when he was a student, I will eat my hat.

I am gutted about Madani's storyline... Not sure how long ago these scenes were filmed but a month ago he had a beard...

What was the yellow stuff Louis was pouring into Guy's locker?

Essie's bid for sainthood continues - how fortunate that a surgeon, anaesthetist and operating theatre were available for her to oversee (and assist in) Fletch's op.

If I was as devious as Guy is made out to be, I'd have ditched the faulty stent and replaced it with a perfect one so that when Max discovered it and sent it for testing it would blow Jac's accusation out of the water.
