yes they are - or at least partners.

They seem an extremely mix-matched pair, despite their shared love of amdram.

The market guy (can't remember name at mo) and Louie from the ferry boat band are also a couple, but she seems to have nothign to do with his child, so not sure it's hers.

which one is raymond? tina is the blonde one right?

I find it wierd though if a couple bump into one another during the day, they don't ever mention their child.

Most peculiar.

raymond is the extremely camp train guy, tina is taxi lady.

Yeah unfortunately it is true.

armadillo - the lack of discussion about their child concerns me too. Also am worried about their child Lisa who I am convinced doesn't actually speak but is voiced over (have you noticed she never speaks directly to camera). Aren't they worried about a voice coming out of their child that isn;t her's? I think SS should be involved.

TheArmadillo · 09/09/2007 20:34

yeah you'd think even a 'did lisa get off alright to nursery today' would be forthcoming at some point.

I am worried about Lisa, you're right about the voice thing (maybe they talk too much themselves to notice ) but also that she wears an outfit almost identical to Granny Murray's everyday. That is wierd.

Lol, she looks so strange and he seems much younger than here

He would get lost in her chest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we have watched it for a while now, my DD's love it

I find it very strange that kids get dropped off at the childminders at 7PM and there are others there also!!!!! Then Granny Murrey seems to have loads of different kids through the day.

why does Granny Murry CHILDmind a dog?!!! lol

and why are the parents always in a hurry but have time to sit with Granny Murry?!!

and lastly why when singing do they say hello to the kerb, wall, roadworks etc lol

oh yes - I particularly noriced the outfit today - that cardigan, that skirt. am not looking forward to the day my child has a choice in clothing. However no items such as those will be in his wardrobe to choose from in the first place.

suppose the answer is ...its for 3-6 year olds not 36 year olds lol

To be honest it is a programme I can sit through (or should I say "skit through" lol)

Am I the only complete Doris that didn't realise that the veggie seller was blind for months

ruddynorah · 09/09/2007 20:38

I decided that Tina was a bit of a pain in the neck the day that she offered Dr Juno a lift to the hospital and then charged her for it.

I didn't realise the she was Lisa's mum, does she never do the drop off or pick up?

The veg seller is blind? I thought he just had a squint and had trouble lining his eyes up with whatever he was looking at.

Report
TheArmadillo · 09/09/2007 20:40

I didn't realise he was blind for ages either.

Tina does sometimes do the drop-offs for LIsa

Report
Kewcumber · 09/09/2007 20:41

Rudi is married to one of those those girls in hats too. She *never does a drop off.

TheArmadillo · 09/09/2007 20:41

paying for a childminder for a dog, does seem a little extreme.

Report
TheArmadillo · 09/09/2007 20:42

yeah I don't think the kid is Louie's though as she seems to have no contact with him.

Also why are the kids never at the childminder's at the same time.

Report
tigerschick · 09/09/2007 20:42

Kewcumber - it took me a while to be sure tha the was blind as it is hardly ever referred to - which I can kind of understand but also think that they might refer to, even obliquely, every now and then.

The program is wrong on so many fronts but it seems to work, and is aimed a little ones after all, not us

Rudi kissed Louie on teh cheek today - first sign I've seen that thay even knew each other. Apparently he is a pretty decent stand-up comedian.

Kewcumber · 09/09/2007 20:50

its works for DS because it is very simple - has lots of very simple repetitive songs and (most importantly) has regular pictures of trians on it.

Report
SoupDragon · 09/09/2007 20:52

I've taught DSs to chant "Granny Murray is EVIL" at the screen now. I'm so proud. They don't see it often but sometimes CBeebies is still on from BabyDragon's TV fix.
