Back on BBC iPlayer on Monday at 7.00pm.

Bittersweet as it will be the final series, and will also incorporate a tribute to Slugs / Michael Sleggs.

I'm glad i found this thread. I have a serious thing for Kurtan blush. (Give me a man literally has nothing better to do than shag me senseless all day - oh dear, is that the menopause around the corner?!) grin

And i just loved the show, generally. So bittersweet and understated. Only character I wasn't so keen on was The Vicar. I felt he was too obviously acted, whereas the others felt real.

I'm missing these 2 ( plus the vicar of course) so much.

I saw a neighbour parking their car this morning, doing the single handed palm technique that Kerry demonstrated to Kurtan.

Made me laugh and want to watch that episode again 😄

AdoptedBumpkin Fri 27-Mar-20 16:31:11

Not watching the documentary she was in was peak Kerry.

Loved the Rob Robinson mention at the end, Kurtans face was a picture grin

"He's not streetwise. The Vicar."
grin

Friendship is a two way street not a one way street where you talk about yourself and your f...ing eyesight all the time 😂

happilybemused Thu 26-Mar-20 08:14:11

I've bought the book to keep going. Mandy's letters to her adopted dog at the Dogs Trust ...😂

Inkanta Wed 25-Mar-20 16:46:51

Yes, they showed great maturity and generosity of spirit there. He got a great boost of encouragement from it. Lovely to see him receive that and see his lovely smile.

LoisWilkersonslastnerve Wed 25-Mar-20 14:57:51

I cried when they told Vicar to go. Brilliant tv.

motorcyclenumptiness Wed 25-Mar-20 14:11:52

Aw that was brilliant - a perfect ending.

Mooserp Tue 24-Mar-20 21:36:42

It was just lovely 😊

Completely forgot about the real world for half an hour.

Figgygal Tue 24-Mar-20 21:36:29

Aw I’m sad it’s over

AreYouSiriusLupin Tue 24-Mar-20 17:44:48

I loved it but I need more!

AdoptedBumpkin Mon 23-Mar-20 23:40:25

Loved it. Perhaps the right ending, although sad. Kurtan banging on about the footballer was so him. Loved that Robert Robinson got a mention at the end.

Mynameisrow Mon 23-Mar-20 20:49:59

I cried! Not even ashamed it was so well written and showed you truly how much the characters have grown over the series with the help of their vicar star perfect

mizu Mon 23-Mar-20 20:46:17

Going to go and watch now. Just watched Boris and need some laughter glitterballstarglitterball

whitershadeofpale Mon 23-Mar-20 19:53:43

I’ve just finished it. No spoilers but it was perfect 😭

Mynameisrow Mon 23-Mar-20 08:02:25

I’m not emotionally ready for this evening 😂

megletthesecond Sat 21-Mar-20 19:51:37

13yr old gets the giggles whenever Mandy appears. I've raised him well.

CodenameVillanelle Sat 21-Mar-20 10:08:01

I can't imagine Mandy acting another part. She's just so brilliantly Mandy.

GCAcademic Sat 21-Mar-20 10:06:39

Just seen that the actress who plays Big Mandy is going to be matron in the BBC Malory Towers adaptation that starts on Monday.

The vicar won't leave. He can't. No no no no no. It just can't end with the vicar leaving. We're already coping with a pandemic. Not this as well sad
