On BBC she does. ITV seems to be using selective views.

Kate, the DoC I presume, has been alarmingly thin for a while. But we are not allowed to discuss it on here.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 12/02/2020 01:03

No, we're not allowed to discuss it as she's just 'sporty' and 'athletic.'

And to do so would be nasty, jealous and anti-women.

She looks ill. But I guess you go off your food when your husband has been shagging around.

Windy0urneckin · 12/02/2020 01:16

Yes! I thought the exact same thing when I saw the footage from today.

I thought so, she looks awful.
I expect on a decade or two it’ll all come out that she developed an ED. I think unfortunately the whole royal family is going to unravel when the Queen goes.

She has always been very slight. She looks healthy to me

She's certainly v. slim and I think she looks tired in the latest photos.

Kate does look painfully thin but so does Letizia of Spain and Mary of Denmark. They make Maxima of the Netherlands and Victoria of Sweden look chubby in comparison.

Fwiw, I don't believe the rumours about William and I think that the pressures of 'the job' coupled with having 3 young children would take its toll on anyone. On the other hand, I wouldn't entirely rule out an ED.

She's got a slim frame, but thought some very recent pix she's looking tired and distracted

Shes looked too thin and strained/tired for years now. She always has huge bags and dark circles under her eyes and looks a lot older than her age. She doesn't seem very happy to me but obv I dont know her or anything!

If she looks like a twig in photographs she must be alarmingly tiny in person. I'm very enviable of the discipline required to be so svelte but thankful I don't feel the need to be and can eat crisps for breakfast on my way to work. I don't think I have ever seen a photograph of her eating. Perhaps it's not permitted to publish those.

She is very thin. There's no question about that. However I think she looks really good for her age. Being tired and being thin, don't usually correlate. I think her face always looks healthy. She appears strong and fit, so I don't know why you'd be concerned on her behalf.

Report
NoSharon · 12/02/2020 04:10

I'd suggest that if you're eating crisps for breakfast, Kate is probably far healthier than you. She's very tall and has a modelesque figure. I'd say she works out a lot and probably doesn't eat crisps for breakfast.

She's under even more scrutiny than usual and probably feeling more stressed with the realisation that unlike H and M -who have cleared off to Canada to 'thrive' - she and William are going to have an even heavier workload of engagements. Some people - myself included -drop weight without even trying during busy, stressful periods.I got thoroughly fed up with comments about had I been dieting,I needed to be careful and eat more when I went very skinny after a bereavement and a house move.I love my food and have never cut back .But when I'm busy or anxious off drops the weight.
I thought she looked lovely at the recent Baftas. And yes does look tired sometimes but with all the drama with the Sussexes and 3 young DCs. is it any wonder. As for his alleged affair.Personally not believing that one.

I don’t usually agree she is too thin but she looks like a paper doll in those pictures yesterday, so must look even thinner in real life.

She is very slim. She always has been very slim. But she doesn't look ill.

Tired? She has three children. Ive looked tired since 2010.

And you can try to make your comments on another woman’s weight seem like concern, but the choice of words show a lot of posters as just plain nasty.

I wonder how much of the bitchiness towards Kate stems from a belief that people can’t, rather than don’t, control their own weight.

Yes, she is looking thinner than ever. I wonder how thin a person has to be before some people on Mumsnet will agree they are actually quite underweight? I'm not criticising her - I'm worried for her!

well, her face doesn't look too thin; we're not talking Karen carpenter or celine dion here, are we. and she has always had a svelte figure, although in that recent picture from school days, the one with the sports master, it is less noticeable, but guess she was still growing taller so now has that stretched look, modelesque as a pp said.
hope she;s ok.
feel a bit sorry for the queen. things do seem to be unravelling. not surprised by the bolter's behaviour, but a pity to bring the queen to sorrow in her grey hair.

I've thought for a while she looks tiny. Compared to how she was. However, she does look amazing and happy.

She does look very slim- I was quite alarmed. And I am a "size 10 athletic type" - not a case of criticisnig slim women.
