Did not know that! Very exciting.

The sheer inventiveness of so many episodes of this has been just incredible.

I'll watch tomorrow though as I can't watch in dark! I never finished Dead Line, too creepy.

What's your favourite past episode?

What's your favourite past episode

12 Days of Christine was brilliant of course. I thought the first episode of the last series, the Shakespearean hotel comedy was brilliant.

Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room (I had to look up the title) was really moving.

My favourite might be the one with the shoe.

The riddle of the Sphinx one with the crossword writer - so clever!

I liked the one with the wishes granted in the house that was being cleared.

The very gothic one with the babysitter was good too.

All beautifully made and written.

I had no idea it was back on, thanks.

Been watching these on Netflix recently, never sure if I’m meant to be entertained or deeply traumatised for the rest of my life!

@Bluewavescrashing A Quiet Night In will always be my absolute favourite!

@bablohoney I think that’s how they hope viewers would feel!

I stopped watching these because there were too many horrible/horror/tragedy-type episodes and i couldn’t cope with them, but loved the inventiveness. Can anyone recommend any of the more lighthearted or even just non-horrible episodes?

Report
drdad · 04/02/2020 12:50

Rubaiyat, you could try Nana's Party, Empty Orchestra, Zanzibar, And the Winner Is... or last night's episode. Trouble is, revealing that an episode is a bit more 'light' might qualify as a spoiler.

I enjoyed it. One or two unexpected developments. Spotted the twist just before it was revealed.

I've just watched the 12 days of Christine. Oh god

12 Days of Christine kills me every single time I watch it.

Loved Sardines. Loved the one which keeps going back ten minutes. Loved the Sphinx one. And the Zanzibar hotel.

Easily the best thing on TV.

It's very underrated I think. Unfortunate comparisons with Black Mirror when they are much lower budget (but still beautifully made).

I love it as well. First one I ever watched was sardines and I was like Hmm then Shock enjoyed last night agree additional cast made it.

CaptainHammer · 04/02/2020 21:03

@Bluewavescrashing it is a shame. No one seems to have heard about it when I mention it. I then force them to watch of course! Reece Shearsmith makes a few not so subtle comments on twitter about it’s lack of promotion/award nominations etc.

I love this show and there is always sooo much to get from rewatching episodes multiple times too.

Last night's was good; the twist not as big as usual as the stakes weren't life or death (just football Wink). But their dialogue is never not perfect.

Psychoville is brilliant too!

I've had a bit of a binge today.

Seance one was scary and then the one with the shoe was extremely moving

It's just so well written
