I finished series one yesterday and can't believe they've not put series two up as well! I didn't realise Jack Davenport was only about 22 at the time it was filmed. He's perfect as Miles - such an arse but you still would, wouldn't you?

If someone had told me in 1996 that it would be Egg rather than Anna who'd go on to be an international star then I wouldn't have believed them!

Working my way through series 1 on iplayer. Just seen Ferdy rebuff Warren after their night together and tell him he's getting married. Warren seemed very whiny first time round but I really like him now - and I'm much more sympathetic to Milly, having to carry Egg and his inability to do a job he can't treat like a hobby.

Loving watching this. Daniella Nardini is wonderful in it. Really dislike Warren's cousin. She needs to get her own life and stop trying to parasitise his

Totally agree on both counts. I really thought Daniela N would go on to be huge but I’ve never seen her in anything else!

I remember quite liking the Kira character at the time but watching it again, she is just so nosy trying to interfere all the time with Warren’s family-that would have been so annoying!

I emailed too - maybe if we all ask the question they might show series 2?

ChampooPapi Mon 17-Feb-20 17:28:49

Can't wait to binge series one, haven't watch it since I was a teenager

ChampooPapi Mon 17-Feb-20 17:27:37

Amazing! Just seen this!

IntermittentParps Mon 17-Feb-20 15:18:20

How very odd.

I haven't even watched it this time round, and tbh am probably not going to, but it's such a silly decision I feel like emailing them anyway grin

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor Mon 17-Feb-20 15:13:41

I know!!!!

WheresThatCatGoneNow Mon 17-Feb-20 15:02:30

Series Two should have just started the following night after Series One ended.

That would have made sense!

WheresThatCatGoneNow Mon 17-Feb-20 14:59:52

Why the hell not? That makes no sense confused

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor Mon 17-Feb-20 14:59:18

Thanks for getting in touch with us about The Life.

At the moment we do not have a broadcast of the second series currently in our schedules, however it's feedback like this that shapes the future and direction of our scheduling decisions.

If the second series were to be broadcast, then information would be available on the programme's website here -

www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b00pft4t/this-life

We hope you enjoyed the broadcast of series one and thanks for taking the time to contact us at the BBC.

Blondeshavemorefun Mon 17-Feb-20 14:58:51

Why show s1 but not 2

Silly

IntermittentParps Mon 17-Feb-20 14:19:37

That's SO weird confused What was the thinking? Do they say? I bet they don't bother

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor Mon 17-Feb-20 14:15:12

Just got a reply from the BBC, no plans to show second series. Wtaf?!

Egg is such a cocklodger- he set the tone before that word was ever invented!

Yep! He was being so unreasonable when he was talking to Milly upstairs during the house party!

The jobcentre woman was great- very realistic! And the cold call centre boss- I remember jobs like that!

The arguments over the dishes reminded me of living in halls.

I love that Anna isn’t ‘slut shamed’ the way a young woman would be now.

Something I noticed was missing- they don’t have any student debts because they went to uni before tuition fees started.

fedup21 Sat 15-Feb-20 15:12:15

Does anyone remember the reunion programme? Millie was a stay at home Mum and Egg was a novelist

Yes! It was really shite, wasn’t it?!

Herocomplex Sat 15-Feb-20 14:55:18

I didn’t watch this the first time round, but it brought back incredible memories of that time, just the general life of London. I worked near Temple so was looking for familiar things. I loved those deli sandwich shops, before all the chains came along. Fags and wine bars/pubs. Having friends all over in crappy rented houses. Ah, nostalgia!

Am FURIOUS there’s no series 2 on iplayer, it’s got so many episodes!!!

beachandwaves Sat 15-Feb-20 14:48:04

It's a shame I don't have a TV now. I loved Andrew Lincoln in it. It reminded me of my flat share in London although real life was far more mundane smile

I forgot about Delilah she was so annoying

fedup21 Sat 15-Feb-20 12:58:27

The Anna and Egg’s dad made me feel a bit ill actually.

Me, too. Him following her around the house was a bit sad as well!

Miles was a right twat but I still would grin.

I must be old though-I can’t imagine having a house party like that, mid week when I had work the next day. It fills me with panic!

AlexaAmbidextra Sat 15-Feb-20 12:37:05

I’ve had the box set for years so have just started series 2. The Anna and Egg’s dad made me feel a bit ill actually. I didn’t like his wet little mouth. 🤮. Now if it had been Miles’ dad I certainly would have. It made me realise how old I am that I’d take the father over the son. 😂

WheresThatCatGoneNow Sat 15-Feb-20 11:15:08

Any meaningful reply, I should say?

WheresThatCatGoneNow Sat 15-Feb-20 10:27:41

Anyone had any reply from BBC4 yet?

I haven't 🙄☹
