Checking in

Clawdy Thu 23-Jan-20 20:08:13

Elly really annoyed me shrieking at Aaron and Boo like that. But everything she does annoys me.

Stellaris22 Thu 23-Jan-20 20:33:01

I can understand why she was upset but I also thought it was weird considering how happy she is to hand over Aster all the time. Did she think they'd just stay indoors all the time?

SleepingStandingUp Thu 23-Jan-20 21:16:47

Tbh is the first time she's reacted vaguely maternal!! I think she's in denial somewhat, that if she let's the boys do it and goes off to the places they say then she'll feel happier, rather than accepting that lots of us feel shout in those early weeks and it's normal. That's my sympathetic interpretation interpretation.

She has a chat with Therese and realised she actually needs to go home and be with her baby

MiddleClassProblem Thu 23-Jan-20 21:32:45

I don’t think it’s surprising that they are too invested in the baby after they were creepy AF with the cot. I think Aaron is dumb and arrogant but BooBoo is the master manipulator. I think he’s changed a lit study psychotherapy or whatever he’s doing...

SleepingStandingUp Thu 23-Jan-20 21:40:26

How many beds is their house? 3 being used, and they're talking of a nursery but when Roxy stayed she had to sleep in the summer house

CurbsideProphet Thu 23-Jan-20 22:06:42

Therese is a mother hen nowadays. Maybe she's taken over a bit from Sonya as everyone's confidante.

Az and Booboo playing at being parents reminded me of that Friends quote "you're so far over the line you can't even see the line, the line is a dot to you" grin

CurbsideProphet Thu 23-Jan-20 22:08:41

I wonder if Karl and Susan just rinsed the sex toy before they put it back in the blue box confused

CurbsideProphet Thu 23-Jan-20 22:09:25

I think every house has a variable number of rooms depending on the storyline grin

KatieKat88 Thu 23-Jan-20 22:10:33

@SleepingStandingUp pretty sure every house on Ramsey Street miraculously grows/shrinks to fit as many/few residents as the writers feel convenient to the plot at the time...

KatieKat88 Thu 23-Jan-20 22:11:30

@CurbsideProphet great minds grin

CurbsideProphet Thu 23-Jan-20 22:15:24

grin grin

BreconBeBuggered Fri 24-Jan-20 19:19:57

Well, isn't young doctor Booboo the sensitive one? A snarky remark from nootsoexpert Elly about their parenting skillz and he's going off the whole idea already.

Smidge001 Fri 24-Jan-20 21:24:22

Just caught up on this week's episodes. Bea annoyed me so much I was yelling at her again and had to fast forward. Why the fuck can't she leave elly alone she's only living 2 doors away, get over it.
Yashvis boyfriends was lecherous and pushy to the point I was yelling at him to back off.
I quite like roxy now, which is surprising as she was really annoying when she first arrived.
And that's about it really.

SleepingStandingUp Fri 24-Jan-20 21:47:57

Yeah Ned was being a sleaze, glad Yashvi called him out on it.

Elly should admit to zbea she moved out cos of the singing.

I dint understand how they are both so loved up about an average looking at best guy who thinks he's 19 and has no real interesting part to him now he's no longer evil.

Roxy kissing Shane otoh I get 😂😘😉

CanYouSmellMyCharlie Sat 25-Jan-20 20:08:59

Hands off Girlfriend!!

Shane is mine... MINE I tell you!!!

< runs away cackling >

SleepingStandingUp Sat 25-Jan-20 22:25:48

meh, i'm 6 weeks post partum, i'm not in a position to enjoy him fully. you make the most of him

CurbsideProphet Sun 26-Jan-20 16:52:04

Gosh Liam from Home and Away has aged. He looks quite grubby now.

I agree about Finn. He tried to kill everyone and now he thinks he's 19 again Bea and Elly are head over heels for him confused

I'm not surprised Dipi and Shane aren't keen on Ned hanging around. He's not exactly the dream boyfriend for your teenage daughter.

AGnu Mon 27-Jan-20 13:04:52

I was a bit hmm at Elly's "and you want to be parents?!" line. I can't really see what they'd have done wrong if they were Aster's parents... Surely the line should've been more like "you might want to be parents but you can't have my baby!"

Why do they keep going on about how young Pierce was?! Presumably if they were in a relationship then she was young too & he just left her to get on with it?! No-one's excusing her not making the best parenting decisions because she was "young", how come he's allowed to get away with it?! Besides, he was 18 when Hendrix was born but didn't they say the relationship broke down a while after that? Maybe when Hendrix was 2? That puts Pierce at 20 when he walked away from his child & early-mid 20s when he chose to take money to father another child he wouldn't be there for. At what point does he stop being young enough for people to excuse it?!

Oh, & where did she get sufficient money from for it to be enough to be Pierce's start up fund? Was she already a professional with a successful business? In which case, ick at her dating an 18yo! Did her parents pay? There's been no mention of any grandparents so far, has there?

Shall I stop pointing out all the obvious plot holes now? grin

SleepingStandingUp Mon 27-Jan-20 22:57:41

I think she's meant to be a fair few years older. Maybe it wasn't a huge amount but just that initial investment.
I thought the new reveal was that they weren't together until mystery daughter came along, they broke up straight away but she reconnected with him to get pregnant again but told the kids they'd been together all that toem to make it less weird.
Possible yes to parents help pay him off

Non tech person here but our sky has gone wrong and we won’t get channel 5 until middle of feb. I’m missing neighbours (and home and away!) how can I watch them on my phone / laptop? I’m clueless.

MiddleClassProblem Tue 28-Jan-20 09:57:12

Get the My5 app on your phone or my5 website on your laptop.

Also sky go should have it regardless of your telly x

Do you remember that time when you were a teenager and you decided to have an impromptu party and invite all your adult neighbours including your head mistress and then everyone was fine about eating pavlova with plastic forks...
