Anyone tuning in tonight? I'm quite excited!

DeborahAnnabelToo Wed 01-Jan-20 20:45:08

Yes I am! I still have a soft spot for the film with Gary Oldman in it (which was patchy admitedly) but I do enjoy the Dracula story.

Yes! Very excited, heard it's meant to be very good, scary but funny in places.

Dipsydoodle Wed 01-Jan-20 21:05:11

Ugh the fly envy

El2El Wed 01-Jan-20 21:08:01

Eek. Was going to watch with DH but he's just gone up to bed with a head ache. I'm such a scaredy cat! Got 2 week old DD on my chest, hoping she keeps me calm!

DeborahAnnabelToo Wed 01-Jan-20 21:08:55

I didn't realise it was written by Mark Gatiss! It's quite creepy already

El2El Wed 01-Jan-20 21:09:29

What else has Mark Gattis written?

Dipsydoodle Wed 01-Jan-20 21:13:24

Sherlock! And a bunch of other stuff

El2El Wed 01-Jan-20 21:19:17

Ooh! That made me jump! Considering saving this for when I'm not by myself. It's the anticipation of being scared more than anything

Dipsydoodle Wed 01-Jan-20 21:19:37

Christ, jumped out my skin at the mirror bit there!

CurlsandCurves Wed 01-Jan-20 21:19:42

League of Gentlemen too, you’d know him if you google him.

El2El Wed 01-Jan-20 21:24:20

Oh right, his name rings a bell so that must be why. How're you all finding it so far?

MistyMinge2 Wed 01-Jan-20 21:25:10

Shitting my pants already. So far it's very good. I have high expectations from these two.

Dipsydoodle Wed 01-Jan-20 21:28:16

I'm enjoying it! Heart is bloody racing though!

GoGoLego Wed 01-Jan-20 21:28:41

I've hid behind a castle several times

It's very good but a bit too spooky for
Me I like to settle down not be on tenterhooks.

Also this would be a prime example of a show for mumbling and too dark can't see but it's not that bad

Fornit Wed 01-Jan-20 21:31:40

Eeeeek!

Dipsydoodle Wed 01-Jan-20 21:32:40

'Kin hell

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper Wed 01-Jan-20 21:33:01

I'm enjoying it, especially now Dracula has gone all suave and sexy-like grin

I like an old-fashioned horror. Having looked at the cast list for the rest of it, it doesn't look like it's going to follow the book very strictly after the first episode, though.

Screamqueenz Wed 01-Jan-20 21:33:53

Loving it

LemonRedwood Wed 01-Jan-20 21:34:55

Loving this so far. The nun is fab

buttonup26 Wed 01-Jan-20 21:35:46

Loving it but scared

MistyMinge2 Wed 01-Jan-20 21:36:01

Aaaarrghhh can't cope 😱

longwayoff Wed 01-Jan-20 21:36:05

Subtlety? This is poor, a CGI fest. Expect better Mark Gatiss.

zukiecat Wed 01-Jan-20 21:36:34

I'm loving it!

I'm not finding it scary, but I never find this type of show scary.

It's slasher movies that scare me

DD went to bed ages ago so I'm watching it on my ownsmile

BlackeyedPetitsPois Wed 01-Jan-20 21:36:55

Loving this!
(Also the Dracula actor is blimin lovely!)
