I've recorded the series, on spec. FWIW I watched The Hunting also on C5 which was shown a couple of months ago and was surprised at lack of comments on MumsNet despite the subject matter.

I was quite enjoying it until the ridiculous last few scenes - all that creeping into and out of the house in the middle of the night was incredibly risky and the employer didn't even seem surprised to see June there. Even his question about his phone was conversational rather than outraged. Will probably give it another try tonight, just in case it redeems itself.

I reckon she'll tell him that the Mum came into the kitchen with the phone and she persuaded her to relinquish it , hence the screaming ?

I thought that compared to The Accident that got loads of write ups, this wasn't at all bad.

It's always the same with C5 dramas the tv reviewers are too snooty to acknowledge them.

And like the fact that it is featuring a older woman who isn't tottering around in stupid high heels constantly knocking back wine.

And as a story close enough to most of our lives to hook us in.

But they always end badly dont them?

And I didn't fall asleep watching it which I did with the first episode of Vienna Blood.

Didn't think the phone scene was that believable why didn't she try to hide it? If I heard a piercing scream in the night I'd have grabbed my phone off the bedside table instantly where the alarm would be set for morning... mr Wiley with all his shady deals would never leave a phone downstairs out of his sight 🤦‍♀️

The programme about real cold callers/scammers was on last night after Cold Call as I watched it.
I am wondering how it will end as I truly do not see her killing the Mother . She don't seem to be the sort but then again, that was a hell of a lot of money she lost.
