Have just seen Hollyoaks on E4 and they were just going on that she can't have children at all. I know she just had a miscarriage but curious why that means she can't try again...

I don't watch it very often but for some reason I'm really curious about what's wrong with her...

She has a mis-shaped womb so the docs said if she got pg she'd most likely miscarry

I caught the bit when the doctor said she ad an abnormal shaped uterus but missed the bit after that

I am actually quite impressed with the way they have done some story lines recently!
They found out she had a "misshapen" womb when they did the D&C for the miscarriage.

S'all a bit vague... I thought they must have taken her womb out or sommat but I guess not...

I have a mishaped womb and was told the same thing. I have 3 dc's.

It was in yesterdays E4 episode, she explained it to her mum. Then she came out of hospital in tonights episode and it carried on from there.

Poor Tony though
First he loses Grace to cot death and now this...

nutcracker - I have seen a few women say that on mumsnet, does it depend on the way it is mishaped?

ELF1981 Tue 14-Aug-07 20:45:21

If you watch it on E4, it is tomorrows channel 4 and I thought it was excellent the way they dealt with Tony's grief especially as nobody knew the baby was his.

apparently her uterus is so mishaped and can't be fixed, if she did by some miracle manage to fall pregnant again then should would as good as definately miscarry because her womb is incompetent to carry a child!

loving hollyoaks at the moment is my secret accidental addiction and it drives DH mad (luckily he works split shifts and begins the evening shift at 6pm - leaving me free to watch the episode on C4 before bathing DS!)

Possibly yes i think so. Mine is sort of heart shaped with one side alot smaller than other. I did lose a twin from the smaller side in my first pregnancy.

Mine is a bicornuate uterus.

I knew before she went for the scan that she was going to lose the baby, and I thought they handelled it really well. There are some naff story lines in Holyoakcs but some fantastic ones at the moment. Definately my favourite addiction at the moment!

Craig/Sarah/JP is going to explode when it happens. I think it is in the next few weeks.

MerlinsBeard Tue 14-Aug-07 20:54:10
