(387 Posts)New thread for H&A chatter natter. No spoilers on this one pls
Oi! Hands off my Deany!
Thank you for the new thread, Sleeping!
I watch on whichever channel is a day ahead of Channel 5, so I have to be really careful about not inadvertently spoilering things for the rest of you.
Will just have to restrict myself to vague comments about the hotness of Dean
I am very ready for the Robbo storyline to be done with though. Am hampered by not really being able to remember Robbo's back stor and how it involved Dylan Carter - I just remember Carter being the utter shit who abused Kat but have no real understanding of how he ties into this Robbo affair.
Chill @Agnu it's a geoup date but he'll sneak off to the balcony to snog you later

Hmm... That might be ok. Perhaps I can convince Colby to get his uniform & play at being a stripper to distract everyone while we sneak off...
Oooh yeah a belated hendo with Colby stripping, Dean drinking at the bar and a bit of pashing on the balcony
For the last few episodes I have fast forwarded through the Robbo and Jasmine storyline and I still haven't missed anything. It's dreadful.
Ooh did someone say strippers party? We can throw a beautifully decorated, fully catered party which everyone in the Bay is free to attend, despite only having dreamed up the idea 30 seconds ago.
Do we think not-Lancelot will kidnap Jazzy now? My current theory is that Lancelot intercepted some chatter that suggested Tori might be in danger so decided to take over watching her himself, hence the sudden swap. Either that or someone higher up is a baddie & made them swap so their inside guy could get to Jazzy. Anything that doesn't involve Lancelot being the baddie!
Also, who is the dumped bloke? Is he someone Robbo's supposed to know or have they just attacked a random for the sake of sending a message? Jazzy seems to be there to receive him at the hospital but does she know the significance of the snake symbol? Perhaps that's actually a signal for not-Lancelot to kidnap her.
I still like my theory that Tori's going to get moved to a "safer" safe house & not realise she's actually been kidnapped. Trouble is, as things stand, that would make Lancelot the baddie & that would make no sense. There's no way that Robbo would've kept something like thingumy still being alive from his best mate. Didn't they do some sort of debrief thing with Robbo when he was only just starting to get his memory back? Surely it would've come up then if Lancelot was one of the gang. I can't see it. It'll be the new guy, & Tori & Lancelot will fall in love & get married & they'll all raise the baby together as one big happy family. The end.
Yup if its Lancelot it leave a ton of it holes unless he's being bribed somehow but he's too chivalrous to fall for it so again, no.
I missed why Scott-not-Lancelot was with them and where Lance was. Maybe he needed to go back to propose to her and deliver the baby himselv
How bloody selfish is Leah.
Say the business is worth 100k for ease of maths. Irene signs over her 50k. Dick head sues and wins. Irene loses the house and moves into the caravan park. She still has a jon and an income. Leah signs the property back over to her and she has her 50k business to get her going again. Or he loses and Leah signs it back and all is good.
Or she refuses to sign it, dickhead wins and they have to sell the business to give him his money or he becomes a partner (not sure how it works), Leah has her 50k to sink into a new business and Irene is living in the caravan park forever!
But all that is irrelevant as long as Leah can continue to feel good about herself
Well she won't when Irene is in a the caravan park doing odd jobs for Alf to make ends meet
YY, Leah's being ridiculous. If she was actually Irene's friend then she'd go along with it just so it was one less thing for Irene to worry about.
I do have my doubts about whether this plan could actually work though. Surely it wouldn't take much digging for his lawyer to discover she'd signed over a major asset to a friend right after finding out he might sue her. Presumably there's some system in place to prevent people doing that IRL, otherwise everyone would sign over all their assets to their friends/family before it got to court so they could claim they were basically penniless. Not sure why she isn't signing the house over to Willow while she's at it, assuming she owns it.
Yes I thought the same thing Re it basically being a type of fraud
You know things are bad when Justin is the one talking sense!
Yes Leah is being a twat, but as you’ve all pointed out, in RL signing over assets in the midst of a threat to sue would definitely not be allowed anyway. But who cares, Leah is awful so let’s not miss an opportunity to slag her off 😁
Also, I know it won’t happen, but whether or not ‘Bells’ gives evidence, in RL Irene would be facing down hard time, probably for upwards of 10 years! Fair enough she belted Tommy the first time, but the second pounding was a sustained and relatively unprovoked attack, and then an attempt to conceal the crime and pervert the course of justice as well... there’s no way Reenie would be getting off without some kind of custodial sentence, whether you sympathise with her or not! This storyline is really missing Morag IMO ☹️ As is H&A in general.
The new Doc is taking over all of Tori’s many departments I see, and of course it’s fine to have a random bodyguard hanging around in A&E just in case a mad gunman comes bursting in. Just what you need when worrying by a loved one’s bedside.
Fi - I wonder if there's a "diminished responsibility" element to her actions because of her previous abuse? That's the only way I can see them managing to get any kind of sympathetic hearing for her actions.
Hmm, quite possibly LivingBoy, I don’t see how they’ll manage to get around it otherwise!
I wonder if we’ll see the trial, or if it’ll just be typical cheapo H&A showing Irene on the court steps with Leah stroking her arm, and then cut scene to victorious whoops and cheers as she returns to the Diner, no doubt with Justin or similar Diner henchman quickly summing up the outcome to the audience via Alf or Palmer or some shit.
It would depend on how much Tommy remembered, wouldn’t it, and how much Irene and Bella were prepared to fudge the truth/perjure themselves in court. They could spin it as he was assaulting Bella - I hit him to get him off - he wouldn’t leave and came after us again - we were in fear for our lives - I hit him again to make him stop. There’s all the history of the grooming and the other girls he was pursuing to suggest he really was a threat. Obviously dumping him at A&E doesn’t look great but could be seen as a panicked response and an attempt to do the right thing and get him medical help.
Morag would pull it off
I think when she gave her statement to Colby, she's already admitted exactly how it all happened - she couldn't bear the guilt of trying to conceal it, and didn't want to make Bella have to lie to protect her any more.
Leah is annoying me so much. Suddenly everything can be solved with a vlog
Also, how much longer are they going to drag out the Robbo/Jazzy storyline?!?
I’m also missing Morag! She’s sort Ben and Reenie out in no time!
I wonder if there's a "diminished responsibility" element to her actions because of her previous abuse?
I think there has to be, hence the disclosure about her abuse so we'll accept her getting off with maybe a bit of litter picking on the beach as punishment
