I didn't expect to like this last year but I watched the first episode with my daughter and I was hooked! Looking forward to the launch tonight

I was completely hooked last year, have sworn I will not be watching this year. (Need an early night so have set it to record. I will be catching up asap).

I really liked this last year too. Did Emma Willis host this last year? I seem to remember 2 other presenters.

I think it was Alice Lavine and Maya Jama last year. I really like Emma Willis though

I would deffo put two and two together with Woody being Zoe Ball and Norman Cook’s son, what with the name, age and coming from Brighton. But I suppose the majority of them in there are the wrong generation for Fatboy Slim!

The older gent (I'm rubbish at remembering names) really reminds me of Robin Williams for some reason

Checking in! Loved this show last year. Looks like they've sorted out the voting issue but making them rank each other. That was a major flaw last year!

Love how the apartments have been styled to reflect each of their personalities.

I couldn't be a catfish, I would be too stressed making sure I didn't slip up!

Love Emma Willis. Exactly her type of show, miss her now BB has ended. Not keen on the hair though, she looks so amazing with her short hair.

Hmm it seems to have gone very BB ish. And do we need a minor celebrity??
Half of what made it such a great programme was that it WASN'T whizz bang celebrity etc. It was a slow burner and was all the more charming for it.

Can anyone explain the concept to me please? I really miss Big Brother and this looks interesting.

Can anyone explain the concept to me please? I really miss Big Brother and this looks interesting.

Basically, 8 people go into the building and each live in a separate apartment. They never see each other. Some are who they say they are but some are catfish - either pretending to be a different person entirely, or pretending to be straight when they're gay, etc. They have to chat to each other via social media & complete tasks during the day and every couple of days vote for who they like the most. The most disliked has to leave (with another person replacing them) and gets to meet 1 person of their choice F2F. At the end the most popular person wins.

Loved it last year, I don't like the way it looks like they are going down the Big Brother route. Too early too start complaining though so will stick with it. Why do the producers of TV shows which are proving successful always have to mess with them and start going down the z list/Instagrammer route. My favourite thing about reality TV shows is the "normal people" but every show seems to be ruined (I'm looking at you Love Island) when they start influencing the contestants and bringing in lots of twists, z list contestants etc.

Was so excited that is was back on but had to switch it off as it felt different. Will tune in tonight and see how it is. I do hope that it doesn't turn out to be too manipulated.

Also not a fan of Emma Willis' hair last night. Irrelevant I know.

Catching up with last night's. I'm not sure I'm enjoying it as much as I did the first series.

It's lost something by going too BBish. And too much Emma Willis. We had less from the presenters last year. Not sure I'll stick with it.

I've just started watching it - enjoying it so far although I didn't see the last series so can't compare. I love Emma Willis!

SpanishFly · 26/09/2019 15:15

I remember last year they only had presenters for the first couple of episodes then another few times during the series. Hoping it's the same this time. I dont have anything against Emma but there's too much of her so far.
I really like Tim, he seems to be very intelligent; also very positive and calm

BertBox · 26/09/2019 16:16

I love Tim and his cat as well. I hope it's as good as last year, but it seems a bit try hard so far. I'm really cringing at the woman pretending to be her son, and bloke pretending to be a single mother - last year it seemed quite shocking that anyone was cat fishing, but now it's expected it's taken the shine off a bit, I think.

SpanishFly · 26/09/2019 17:20

Bert I agree - I remember on here after the series ended, we all questioned how another series could work, given that all the contestants had really taken each other at face value - yet this year they are all very suspicious of each other.
I'm not against Richard Madeley going in for a bit - BUT I don't like the deliberate meddling by someone who isn't a permanent contestant. Surely their chances of winning the game should just be how they interact with the others, not with someone who's deliberately winding them all up

Yay people that are watching! Glad I have found somewhere to discuss this!

I agree with pp I have no problems with celebrities going in as a rule. I don't like sending people in to cause drama! That is where all other reality tv goes wrong in my opinion forcing things! But I maybe proved wrong!

fruitpastille · 26/09/2019 22:57

Oh God. Richard Madeley flirting with Zoe Ball's 18 year old son. Make It Stop!!

Am I the only one thinking that surely Richard Madeley would know who Woody is?
