That last thread filled up quickly! Here's a new one for us.

As a PP said, I can't quite forget how vile Dom was to Malik in the early days, so his rehabilitation has never made me warm to him. It looks as though his troubles aren't over, though. Carol to the rescue?

I find it really hard to get beyond his self-centredness. I don't think I've ever seen him display any actual care and concern for Lofty: it's all about what Lofty provides for him and how he facilitates the Dominic Copeland Story.

I haven't been watching all that long but I'm finding Chloe pretty tedious. So much teenage Drama from someone who's supposed to be nearly 30.

And who's HH?

Does anyone follow Jac / Rosie Marcel on Insta? Some interesting posts from her in the last couple of days...

Just checking in... Dom always seems so narcissistic and yet people still love him.

I liked Dom when he first came to Holby with Zosia and Digby. He is ruined now though.

In other news, I've been watching The Bill re-runs on W and just realised that PC Diane Noble is in fact Essie! she was annoying in The Bill as well.

I've just watched again on iPlayer. You see Dom look at two pictures then the camera shows his face rather than the mobile screen and it's a definite look of recognition so he knew it was Isaac he messaged Confused

I think the reason they showed Dom looking at the app a few times was so we knew he was considering meeting someone & then when he looked at it when he was there it was to tell us he was waiting for someone he'd messaged. I don't think we were supposed to know it was Isaac until he appeared though, otherwise they wouldn't have made his username cryptic, but Dom was definitely expecting him.

I feel like his beard makes his doe-eyes even more noticeable. They seemed extra bulgy.

Bernie was in Midsomer Murders on Sunday evening. Now that is the one show that has more fanciful story lines than Holby….only just though.

Why is half the cast of Monarch Of The Glen popping up in Holby... Dawn and now Duncan!

So sick of this. Is it now the Holby Dom Show, Dom City?

Tbh he's never been a fave character for me and it's getting boring.

A very unsatisfactory episode - the time switches in the Dom/Isaac story had me well and truly puzzled.

Lofty followed the "A serious situation in one's personal life needs discussion - why not start the conversation in the corridor at work?" script that is so much a part of Holby.

Thankfully the scriptwriters didn't decide that Isaac should be involved in the surgery on his father's arm, though. Small mercies.

I was just coming on to comment about the MotG cast reunion! Grin Now they need to get Archie involved... Perhaps it could turn out that Ange has lied about Dom's father & he's actually Scottish too... Or Ange's favourite never-before-mentioned brother could come to town for a surprise visit & end up sticking around because he also happens to be a high-flying surgeon who can rock up & start work the same day!

I may have had a crush on Archie back in the day. Grin

Scratch that, he'd be her least favourite brother. The golden boy in the family who she's always had to try to live up to despite being a few years older. She went off to uni &, according to their parents, brought yet more shame on the family by getting pregnant again. They didn't believe she was taped & just thought it was history repeating itself. They went NC so she doesn't actually know that her little brother idolised her & went into medicine to be like her. He'll turn up one day while she's waiting for "that new consultant" whose name she totally believably hasn't even been told. She'll look stunned & he'll smile in a cocky-seeming way & say "Hi, sis." There follows much angst about old family dramas before eventually they're reconciled & they take Dom back to Scotland with them & we get some storylines about someone else for a change!

I had a job to sit through the episode and if it hadn't been for DS deciding to watch it with me I would probably have given up.

So boring. I'mfed up with Dom and his never-ending dramas, his sad eyes and his cat's bum mouth. It's time he went on an extended holiday with his new family. Chloe can stay if she dumps the creepy dude.

I was very amused at Jac just deciding to buy a (presumably very expensive) machine on the spot, and then later saying to American guy ‘I’ll tell you how the NHS really works’. I’d love to hear that.

So now we will have weeks of Dom/Arsac/Lofty interplay. Sigh.

I think I've just given up now, probably everyone will be affected by Arsac's mind games, someone will get hurt, they will eventually uncover that he is abusing his father and everyone will rally around poor vulnerable Dom, (who called Carol, Mum last night after ignoring her for weeks) and Ange's face wringing expressions will be taken to new heights.

I used to love Holby Sad

When the Issac abuse storyline first unfolded, I thought David Ames played Dom really well. But the way he treats Lofty, like some kind of puppy who he only wants to play with on his terms, is so vile that I am struggling to feel any sympathy for him this time around. I have never seen him treat Lofty with anything other than rather contemptuous boredom or irritation so when Lofty said he'd cheated, I thought: Good for you!

Isaac's relationship with Dom was definitely abusive, but despite the fact that there's no physical abuse in Dom's relationship with Lofty, he doesn't treat him much better than Isaac treated him. And when he grabbed Lofty in Tuesday's episode as if he were going to hit him, I thought - I can really easily see you going there, with or without Isaac's influence/your past history.
