I would be happy if any of them wins.

No-one is interested this year? It should be fun.

Deathraystare Fri 03-May-19 09:00:33

I'll have to wait until the night. When is it on??
Oh just looked it up May 14th right?

icelolly99 Fri 03-May-19 13:34:36

Final is Sat 18th.

There are a few very good songs this year but it all depends on how they sing live. Very often the live version can be such a letdown.

So bookie's favourite to win next week is the Netherlands but also Russia confused.

A good luck to Michael Rice! He has a truly great voice.

Oh love this show. Never watch the semis but I hope a few of the off-beat ones make it through to the final.

We always get ourselves in the mood by cooking a dinner in the cuisine of the host country. This hear DD has suggested falafel followed by something called lamb shawarma (I think, need to get a recipe) then baklava. Wasn't sure if the latter was Israeli but apparently it is popular there.

We will be watching! Love Eurovision, and will be rooting for the UK! 🇬🇧

Hello! Is everyone watching the first semi tonight?

I’m most looking forward to Australia, Iceland and Greece from tonight’s acts.

Did anyone see the Hatari (Iceland) interview where they said they’d most like to invite Theresa May to Eurovision?

RedToothBrush Tue 14-May-19 19:37:38

Evening!!!!

I don't think this year is the best, but I'm still excited.

The White Witch of the South and the Not Before The Watershed best qualify for the final!!!

OublietteBravo Tue 14-May-19 19:39:14

Hello Red <waves>

RedToothBrush Tue 14-May-19 19:39:58

I think the Netherlands is very over rated. The Russian guy is the same one as the one who came second a couple of years ago and was really good on the visuals (and was a half decent song). He should do well because its good again and he has the diplomatic benefit we don't!

RedToothBrush Tue 14-May-19 19:40:21

waves back

SneakyGremlins Tue 14-May-19 19:41:03

Oooh is it Eurovision time???

RedToothBrush Tue 14-May-19 20:02:02

Here we go....

Rhubarb01 Tue 14-May-19 20:04:58

Evening, well I hated this song last year and...I still do. Nevertheless looking forward to what else is on offer.

RedToothBrush Tue 14-May-19 20:05:52

Netta nearly feel over!

Raahh Tue 14-May-19 20:06:32

Hurrah! Semi finals.

Evening all!

I hated this too. Ad a year hasn't changed my opinion.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll Tue 14-May-19 20:07:17

Am I the only one who likes to wait to watch the performances on the telly, as part of the whole pantomime extravaganza, rather than seeing them all individually and isolated from the context of the show beforehand?

That chicken woman is on again, though. HOW did that dreadful song win?!?!?!

ilovesooty Tue 14-May-19 20:10:10

Looking forward to Iceland.

RedToothBrush Tue 14-May-19 20:10:49

DH thinks the arrangement for the chicken song, wasnt as good as last year. I have to agree. I don't think that would have won.

FintyTin Tue 14-May-19 20:10:57

You certainly aren’t, SausageRoll. No spoilers here!

Delightfully bonkers start. Loved the huge waving cat grin
