New topic. Isn't eastenders dire at the mo? Though I did hear it perked up last night. Though martin sleeping with someone else. Poor sonia. She's already had to forgive him for killing her fiance. I dunno. She's been through a lot, that one.

I don't watch it any more. Its been rubbish for ages. I think I'm getting very, very old.

Nice topic! Can we put all the Buffy threads in here?

But where do you find the time to watch TV? We've always been lead to believe you're working your socks off...

it's awful, the script writers should be sacked imo. No build up of story lines just scratchin around for anything and seems like last minute put togethers. It's dire.

I don't get time really. But I have skyplus (sad gadget man that I am) and it records every episode of EE and Corrie for me. Sometimes on Saturday mornings I watch the week's events - fastforwarding over the duller bits. For Eastenders i now just delete without watching or skim through at 30x . very sad, I used to love it. Someone told me they've suspended Dot Cotton because she said in public it's unwatchable these days. I can't quite bring myself to take it off the schedule - hoping for a recovery. BBC drama is just dire these days. They've already ruined holby city and casualty to the point where I can't watch them. I think they need to put someone in charge who recognizes that popular drama can still be high-quality, and that turning everything into a far-fetched soap doesn't work in the long run. I blame that guy who used to do brookside then took over as executive producer of everything. Anyway, rant over.

is it me or have all the soaps gone downhill since they turned into several night per week factories?

well asked Enid - buffy good, DS loves it already (I think) and he is only 16 weeks. Maternity leave and hours spent breast feeding equals box sets in my universe.

I'd like to know why 'stenders are still persisting with the tedious Elvis impersonator's family, even though said impersonator has had to be written out and he and his family are the most boring, unconvincing excuses for characters to ever cross my screen.. Dot's the only interesting character left and they are killing her off. Mad! And what is going on with everyone asking Den snr for advice, like he's some relationship guru? Huh?
I'm sure I've read somewhere that the entire cast of Emmerdale were wiped out once (never actually watched it). Think Eastenders producers should consider that strategy very carefully...

I'm not a big fan really, sobernow. I remember being quite hopeful when I saw him do the RTS lecture - which I think was just after he took over - but they've all gone downhill big style. Even I can only take so much trash (and I'm a bit of a trashcan when it comes to tv and films.)
