So Wendy is having g a quiet lunch on her own and ken pops in. Why is she dressed to the nines and why is he wearing a suit!!!

I couldn't help but cry at the scene with Deirdre sobbing on the sofa.
I want to punch Ken, expecting his wife to stay strong while he gets it out of his system.
I love the scenes between Bet and Alec, they play every emotion so well. I got a real pang when Bet said to Betty about if she'd managed to give Alec a daughter.

It's all starting to get a bit dreary and depressing. Definitely a change in tone. Thank God for Bet.

I have just watched the first episode of eastenders. I can't believe how gritty it is in comparison.

I think that why people found it a shock at the time, now all the soaps are trying to out do each other on the shock front, which doesn’t allow create good television imho. There is enough shock horror in real life.

I wonder if one of you classic Corrie watchers can help me with one of my most vivid childhood memories now the McDonald's have turned up.

I used to watch Corrie with my mum all the time and I remember one episode when Steve and Andy had started a pirate radio show and phoned the Kabin to tell Rita to
turn on the radio when they did an advertisement for the shop and a customer looked disgusted and walked out.

I've no idea why this always sticks in my head but I can see the scene as clear as day and would love to rewatch it to see how much I do actually remember acuratly and how much I've made up over the years.

Has this scene or anything close to it been shown!
