Good God... how did they win best soap? The best soap is Molten Brown. Fact. (Lime and Patchouli, specifically!) What with dozy Rosie, booed Jude and airy-fairy Rosemary... think we'll all be reaching for the remote control by the time Jude has emerged from his kennel!

Line and Patchouli sounds lush! Thanks for new thread...

I can only watch it on delay at the moment. That way I can fast forward through all the nonsense.

The gentle comedy used to be a trademark of the show but the 'humour' these days is frankly unwatchable.

I'm starting to get to the point where I can't see how they can pull it back.

I agree but really hope it does manage to turn things around!

For me, the silliest bit was Gemma in the plastic box. Even writing those words makes it sound like an episode from a kids' comedy show....

I had a thought last night. Maybe Lewis is Alma's secret son (that only she knew about)? That could explain how Rosemary knew about Roys first day at the cafe. Bonkers, but anything's possible in Corrie land Grin

I think Audrey will have told Lewis some details about alma, then he's got more from gail.

Nothing is too implausible for the current shit that is Corrie although still can't work out how the medium knew about Haley's sleeping habits.

Since Gail is cash strapped and unemployed, what does she actually live on these days? Does this mean the Platt household survives on David's salon wagesConfused

Replying to thesearmsofmine in the last thread...
Why did the baby not go in to visit Nicola?
The general advice is not to take a newborn into general wards because of the risk of hospital-borne infection to their tiny immune systems. At least that's what I was told when I had to be admitted to hospital when DD2 was just a few weeks old. I missed her but made the most of the opportunity to catch up on lost sleep!

But it was bizarre that in neither her scene with Eileen nor the one with Gary & Sarah did she once ask after her week old baby or express any longing to see him. She only seemed concerned with confirming Pat was dead, finding out 'the truth' and ranting at Gary.

I am enjoying it, i'll be honest! It's not as good quality as the old ones but it is entertaining.

I did laugh at the "i was in the Beavers!" Comment. It was a bit of unexpected humour delivered so deadpan. Made me chuckle!

I don't think Gail really does believe in the medium deep down. I think she possibly does blame herself for the mess she's made of things over the years. She only really has a good relationship with Sarah. Maybe this is a straw clutchy way of trying to prove to herself that she is making amends. I'd like to see her become a bit more wise.

Who as it that made the comment about the Beavers? I laughed like a drain but can't remember who actually said it.

Gary was in the Beavers.

I have an MP3 player. I don't use it though. I may donate it to the police to convert into a "wire".

Surely Lewis will stick around for a while. Wonder if he and Audrey will canoodle again.

Do people not have MP3 players any more? What do they use instead, their phones? Clearly I have been in my cave for too long.
