Love these kind of programmes

Over the course of 6 episodes the Ellis family experience first hand what life was like for working families over the past 100 yrs

Beginning 1918

I've enjoyed all the Back In Time... programmes so far.

I am a bit Hmm though at Sara Cox presenting this one. I like her, don't
get me wrong, but have they dropped Giles Coren and got her in because they think she's more suitable, being more northern and working-class than him?

Not sure how I feel about that.

Great! Saw it was in the pipeline.

Probably have got Sarah Cox in for that. To be fair the BBC is always under the cosh about their demographics. The government with the help of the daily mail are constantly threatening them with withdrawing the license fee.

I’m looking forward to this too. I liked the Robshaws but will be nice to have a new family. Also not sure about Sara Cox, hope she’s not too loud and annoying.

Was going to watch, as I like Giles Coren.
Not sure about Sara Cox - will give it a go though.

Its not just about working families its 'northern' working families so I get why they've picked Sara Cox with her being northern.

I really love social history. I'm definitely going to record this.

Never used to be a fan of Sara Cox till she did her 24 hour dancathon for Comic Relief, which was pretty impressive!

Oh, new series! Thanks for heads up. I love Sara Cox too, much as Giles does it well he's done it for ages. I like variety.

I never liked Sarah Cox as a DJ but she’s been surprisingly bearable on the Pottery throw down

I can't wait for this! The lady in the family is a friend of one of my work colleagues. And she's apparently lovely.

We've spent so much time speculating about this series at work I can't believe it's finally here!

I loved the Robshaws too. Glad they've binned Giles though. Sara is a great choice.

I'm loving this so far.
I really enjoyed previous episodes. Despite my loathing of Giles generally.
This looks much more comprehensive

Interesting, particularly with just a taste of bacon for the family except dad

Not enjoying it. I loved the Robshaws and Giles!!
Also, my mums family especially were real working class northern and there’s no way they had anything like this amount of food.
I used to love my mums Tripe and mashed!! Ungrateful so and so’s Hmm
