Best bit? So far the bit about beth making cottage pie with cheap mince.

Mrsmadevans Mon 29-Jan-18 22:32:27

It is excellent . We absolutely love love love it. Best bit..... when Gordon sang and they all joined in . I just love this and don't understand why it isn't on BBC1.

topcat2014 Mon 29-Jan-18 22:45:08

@mrsmadevans - things usually go downhill when they go to BBC1 - best to keep it where it is smile

It's the passive aggressiveness I love

(although I hate PA in real life)

Mrsmadevans Mon 29-Jan-18 22:56:08

Ahh Top cat you are pro right but it is superb.
The repartee is so brilliant , Christine so insulting and Beth so patient and kind and normal!!

AgentProvocateur Mon 29-Jan-18 23:15:50

Damn, I forgot this was on. I'll watch it tomorrow.

MrsJayy Tue 06-Feb-18 10:57:04

I am hating the new series the nastiness has been ramped up i used to love how cutting it was now it is just plain nasty I turned last nights off .

Belindabelle Tue 06-Feb-18 11:11:46

I haven't seen last nights yet. The pilot episode is right up there with Abigail's party for me. I love it.

I know a couple from Bearsden that are exactly like Colin And Cathy.

MrsJayy Tue 06-Feb-18 11:18:28

I used to love the awkwardness but i am cringing too much this series I think the lack of Sophie to bounce of Ian and her eyerolling is what is missing.I think we all know a Colin &Cathy 😀

Hardwickwhite Tue 06-Feb-18 11:20:24

Last week's was one of the best bits of TV in ages. Last nights though was hideous. One thin joke just stretched a bit too far.

MrsJayy Tue 06-Feb-18 11:24:06

Yes there is only so far you can stretch that joke it was terrible I am going to stick with it though because i usually love it.

PorklessPie Tue 06-Feb-18 11:58:29

I still have the pilot on my box it was brilliant. Last weeks I have watched 5 times, so funny when the ex girlfriend rings him up grin

Kinraddie Wed 07-Feb-18 16:06:30

I actually think this series is funnier and sharper than the last. Really makes me laugh. Ian definitely has a type doesn't he?! And yes, we all know a Colin and a Cathy grin

MrsJayy Thu 08-Feb-18 15:06:03

Yes Ian has a type i miss Jas though.

Redact Thu 08-Feb-18 18:30:21

I love this show too. Forgot it was on so have missed this weeks episode but will get it on iplayer. Ha ha yes everyone knows a Colin and Cathy.

Mrsmadevans Thu 08-Feb-18 19:12:43

Not keen on this weeks epi and we all remarked how much we miss Sophie, l am sure this epi was an exception and normal viewing will be resumed!

horsemadgal Fri 09-Feb-18 10:34:44

Where is Sophie? Have they mentioned her at all?

MrsJayy Fri 09-Feb-18 10:37:07

Sophie is inWales she met a man off the internet it was mentioned at the burns supper episode Christine had been to see her and the baby.

horsemadgal Fri 09-Feb-18 11:46:04

Ah good for Sophie! I missed the Burns episode, thanks MrsJayy.

EllaHen Sat 10-Feb-18 19:08:55

I loved this week's episode.

Cathy is definitely the best thing in it. "I'm pissed, better not have any more wine. Colin - open the vodka." Or something like that anyway. grin

Christine analysing the shopping receipt. So keenly observed.

kennypppppppp Sat 10-Feb-18 21:17:16

I miss Sophie too. Yes,I'mmissing a fictional character!!! I hope she comes back soon and then series three will be made. Ting ting!!

CaurnieBred Sat 10-Feb-18 22:39:02

I loved this week's episode. Watched it on the way into work trying to stifle giggles

RebootYourEngine Sun 11-Feb-18 04:23:30

I am not really liking this series.

Cathy's put downs used to be funny but now they are nasty.

MrsJayy Tue 13-Feb-18 13:28:32

Last nights met my approval was V funny I was really worried. Beth is so put upon though

PorklessPie Tue 13-Feb-18 14:10:37

I think Christine is now my favourite grin

RebootYourEngine Tue 13-Feb-18 18:54:03

The latest episode was better.
