2 hours of silent witness. Followed about 50% of it. Pivotal discussions between lead cast members unintelligible. Couldn't follow it by the end. Is it me?

I’ve just finished watching and have literally no idea what it was about.

I watched the first half an hour of episode one and gave up. Not because it's confusing but because it's so damn dull!

Completely baffled.

DH and i watched it and loved it. Didn't find it hard to follow at all. You do have to really pay attention though. We had both worked it all out before the end.

Not just you.

I gave up on the last series by episode 3 I think as it was just so boring and the storylines were too predictable bit thought I'd give it another go.

Episode one started out well but by the end of tonight's I was trying to figure out if the was a connection between the 2 cases that warranted the jumping from one to the other.

Did I miss something?! Confused

The two cases were not connected.

I didn't find it difficult at all, sorry.

So what was the point in having both cases in one plotline?

That's what I found weird.

Silent Witness used to be excellent then Harry and Leo left which seemed to be when the storylines started to go downhill.

2 cases????

Calzone :o

At the start of episode we saw the family in the cottage being stalked which tied in with the bloke being found in the reservoir (atleast I think it was a reservoir!) which they were investigating.

Then somehow Nikki was following up leads on her missing friend and trying to pin it on the new bloke.

It was like they devoted the first 30 minutes of Ep1 to the family and finished it in the last 30 minutes of Ep2 filling the space with Sally's case Hmm

I wonder if Nikki has any friends left by now.

They all seem to be disappearing or being murdered.

I lost track and am still not sure who killed Sally and why.

I felt exactly the same way, though I'm sick and wasn't sure if my brain was just too addled to follow. The first case that we saw at the very beginning - how did that tie in with the rest of the episode?

Phew, I thought it was just me. Even DH struggled and he's normally good at keeping up with what's going on

Gave up after 15 minutes yesterday.

The plug should have been pulled on this show at least a decade ago. Can't believe it's still staggering on.

Used to love Silent Witness but I really couldn’t get into it yesterday. Will probably delete part 2

I can't work out if their main jobs are doing PM's (etc) or working as unpaid police detectives.
Nikki lives in a lovely house/flat though although she wears some very odd outfits. That blouse last night was like one I wore in 1983.

It really has become farcical!
