Can't wait

Ifyouseeapolarbear Tue 02-Jan-18 22:32:02

I've never seen it before but we really enjoyed it! Is it a series?

cheesydoesit Tue 02-Jan-18 22:37:50

Yes, we are on series 4 now. I think the other 3 series are available on iPlayer. They are fantastic.

Lastoftheusernames Tue 02-Jan-18 22:44:54

Great episode, with an uncharacteristically happy ending.

Butterymuffin Tue 02-Jan-18 22:53:54

That was amazing! Must have taken so much work. For anyone who didn't see it - DO watch on catch up.

Butterymuffin Tue 02-Jan-18 22:54:39

ifyousee it is but each episode stands alone. So you don't have to watch them all or in order.

TheSassyAssassin Tue 02-Jan-18 22:56:51

Oh glad there's an Inside No. 9 thread. I am an addict! Tonight's was good but surprisingly light...which means next week's might be much darker. There has def been the odd episode that has been very twisted made me hide behind a cushion so never know what to expect, but good opener to the series smile

mrwalkensir Tue 02-Jan-18 23:06:14

that was as good as ever smile

Brilliant as usual, loved the rhyming couplets & the hokey cokey at the end was just genius.

Anyone who hasn't watched the previous series, I highly recommend, they are pure brilliance, especially 12 Days Of Christine & A Quiet Night In.

Lottapianos Wed 03-Jan-18 08:08:26

LOVED it. They are such brilliant writers. The hokey cokey was mildly terrifying. No one goes batshit quite like Reece Shearsmith grin

Mrsmadevans Wed 03-Jan-18 17:52:22

I am so glad there is a no 9 thread too . Lat nights epi was just brilliant and I finally got my family to watch it with me and they loved it too ! Such clever writing and acting , love love love it!

NecklessMumster Wed 03-Jan-18 21:33:02

just watched on catch up, that was so brilliant and cleverly done, I was spellbound

LassWiTheDelicateAir Wed 03-Jan-18 23:53:03

It was just brilliant. I don't know how they do it. Standalone 30 minute episodes all in different genres packing in as much as other films and plays take 2 hours to do.

And fabulous ensemble casts too.

user100987 Wed 03-Jan-18 23:59:38

I love it too. And the 12 days of Christine still haunts me with its sadness despite watching it over a year ago now.

Lules Thu 04-Jan-18 00:01:15

I loved that too. And it was nice to have a happy one as a change.

ChiefClerkDrumknott Thu 04-Jan-18 11:02:12

I loved it, beautifully done. I was spellbound from beginning to end. Surprisingly happy ending but as a PP said, that just means that the next episode will either be really nasty or break your heart! And I agree that Reese has his own brand of unsurpassed batshit grin

Clawdy Fri 05-Jan-18 22:18:24

It was brilliant. And nice to see the stroppy teenage daughter from Upstart Crow in another role!

SABeeTiger Fri 05-Jan-18 22:42:30

I've watched all three series in 2 nights to catch up! I'm amazed, it's awsome! I am finding myself shouting at the screen in some of them!! Loved LoG too!

TheSassyAssassin Sat 06-Jan-18 13:35:49

It's fab isn't it? Total off-the-wall dark and delicious brilliance! Can't wait for next Tuesday's episode smile

Lottapianos Sat 06-Jan-18 13:49:34

Wow SAB, that must have done strange things to your head! What were your favourite episodes? I think mine is Cold Comfort (the one set in a call centre) - there's such a creepy sense of dread all the way through and an enormous shock in the final few seconds. A Quiet Night In ( the silent episode) was a work of genius too

Has anyone seen the Christmas special from last year? VERY disturbing reveal at the end. Gave me nightmares

Ifyouseeapolarbear Sat 06-Jan-18 14:00:28

Thank you - I've just seen the first 2 series are on netflix so I can catch up on them :-).

chezbot Sat 06-Jan-18 14:02:17

@lottapianos Huge Shearsmith & Pemberton fan here. Devil of Christmas was genius imo but yes, utterly horrid. Jacobi 's narration was inspired too. My teenage DD was appalled when she recognised the voice of In the night garden in that episode

SABeeTiger Sun 07-Jan-18 00:15:17

I couldn't single one out, the first two of series 1 blew my mind, the call centre one, the scary game show one, the Christmas one, the crossword one!

Mrsmadevans Sun 07-Jan-18 10:29:14

Off the back od this new series of No 9 I am watching LOG again, omg it is utter genius!

thenightsky Tue 09-Jan-18 22:53:14

Tonight's was so sad.
