Anyone watched it? Well acted and gripping, James Norton good as usual. Also nice change to see so many new faces. But I'm not sure about watching seven more episodes........

Can't wait to see it. Suspect it will be really good.

I watched the first one but think I might record the rest and watch them as a box set - it reminds me of the Night Manager in that it probably gets very complicated!

Did enjoy it, very chilling as I think it's based on a non fiction book about modern crime networks Shock

Thought was quite gripping, James Norton is such a good actor, I've had a crush on him since his mad Tommy Royce days . Bit batshit though meeting a stranger and getting in a car when 3 blokes had just killed his uncle and very nearly him too.

We ditched after 20 mins. Too much like the Nightwatchman which was a major let down.

I thought it was brilliant (but then I'm a bit biased as I like anything James Norton is in Grin)

Nearly switched off after 20mins but glad I didn't. The uncles killing was shocking but kick started the action! At the moment, it's unpredictable and I'm intrigued, so will be back tonight for the next instalment!

Quite embarrassed to admit that I thought it was going to be about the Scottish Mafia. Grin

Mafia copying McDonald's - penny dropped.

Uncle Boris was Puss from Top of the Lake 2.

I liked it, didn't love it.

I thought it was good and will watch again. I was really disappointed with james Norton i found him wooden and expressionless I hope he inproves considering he's holding the whole drama

Ugh bit too dense for me, I like my gangster shows with a side order of fluff a la The Night Manager.
Dunno maybe I was too tired after nye!

Me too Ella Grin

I gave up after 20 mins too. Don't think it's my thing. It didn't grab me at all, felt a bit too serious. I know the subject is serious but ykwim, like bread said, I want a bit of something else in the mix to spice it up a bit. DH liked it so he watched it all and will probably watch the series.

I think the makers of it realise it's a very slow burner too which is why they've put the first two episodes on two nights running.

I really enjoyed it and I can't wait for tonight. It must have cost a fortune to make

Definitely!

Im enjoying it, although the subtitles mean i have to concentrate and not muck about doing other stuff like i normally do.
Seems high budget for a BBC series.

I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling to keep up with it. It's very violent - the scenes with the young girls being forced into prostitution were horrific. I may just watch for the James Norton factor and ignore the storyline.

Clear as mud. Good to look at though - classy.

I liked the first one, tonight's though James Norton just coming across as a bit wet really. He isn't convincing as being a menacing sort ready to take on all the criminals.

Also I like his steely glare but then his voice is a bit girly and whispery imo.

James norton not working for me in this at all. His face and demeaner are the same no matter what is happening. Hard to tell what he's thinking or feeling he needs to seriously improve. The actor playing his girlfriend is also pretty bad the scenes their in together are as dull as dishwasher
