His dad doesn't seem bothered that he hasn't seen him for 3 years...
He said he thinks he's been a parent to him... How can he when he hasn't seen him for 3 years?

How sad that he lost his dad and vice versa. It was very sad when his dad said I'd just be polite to him if I saw him in the street (it's that it?!) He said he didn't mind him being gay but it still sounded like he did? Didn't he wasn't to make up and build a relationship with him again?

Well yes I did think when I saw that
