The Bill on Drama channel "from the beginning"....

....has been axed! Currently on series 4 and the powers that be at Drama Channel have decided to fastforward to series 14, missing out the very early (and very memorable) series 5-13. Absolutely gutted as I have been so enjoying all the old characters from the early programmes - Ted Roach, Frank Burnside, June Ackland, Sgts. Cryer, Penny & Peters, the hapless Reg Hollis etc. Loved spotting all the old Cortinas, Metros, Cavaliers and Capris too! It was heavily advertised as The Bill Rewind, with a promise to show ALL the old episodes, all 2,421 episodes. Photoshoots of the old cast members to promote it. Now no more and instead they are jumping forward apparently due to "viewing figures" and "what audiences come in to view". Anyway as disappointed as I am?!

No! I'm loving catching up on old episodes of The Bill on my days off.

Watto1 there have been lots of complaints on Drama channel FB page! Hope they reverse this very unpopular decision as I was loving all the old 80’s Bill episodes. My biggest gripe is they promised to show all episodes and have now back tracked for what seems to be pretty spurious reasons.
