Been looking forward to this. Always been fascinated by the Gunpowder plot since primary school.
So far..... boring!
God these scenes are awful, I don't know if I can watch if it continues like this.
Not usually squeamish but feel a bit sick now...
Ive turned over.
I'm on delay, but I've changed my mind. Can't watch this.
I am going to watch the whole series as the story is interesting but will look away during the extremely graphic execution scenes.
Im 15 minutes into it. The lady has just been executed. Its horrific.
Just watching now recorded from last night. I'm half hour in, I think it's a bit graphic for me although I watch Game of Thrones, so I'm not sure why! I always looks away during the gory bits.
I thought I could watch it with my nearly 13 year old daughter, you know a bit of education and a good drama. Sent her off to bed when it became clear that the executions were going to be shown in quite some detail I liked it though, will watch next week.
Great episode....... Looking forward to next week.
I watched all 3 episodes on Iplayer today. It felt like few bits of history were a bit stretched but great story none the less.I hope more people will visit sites such as church in Ashby St Ledgers (I think the actual house is in private hands) or Coughton Court, both interesting places and connected to the Gunpowder plot.I agree that some scenes were too graphic and I had to turn my head away....
