Anyone looking forward ?

Montacute Thu 19-Oct-17 16:31:59

I like the look of it but I'd have thought Sunday night was a more obvious night for it. I suppose they probably don't want to clash with Victoria.

RhiannonOHara Thu 19-Oct-17 17:23:33

Yes, will give it a go. I like a bit of quasi-historical nonsense.

PantPlot Thu 19-Oct-17 17:26:25

Jon Snow flouncing about in breeches?

Oh go on then, if there's nowt else on...<sigh>

NetflixandBill Thu 19-Oct-17 17:27:35

Really looking forward to it. I read Antonia Fraser's accound of the Gunpowder Plot a few years ago and loved the story

cushioncovers Thu 19-Oct-17 21:12:30

Yep me, hopefully it will be good

MinesaPinot Fri 20-Oct-17 13:17:33

Yes I am, love a bit of historical drama

BitOutOfPractice Fri 20-Oct-17 13:19:12

Apparently it's rather gory

GoldSpot Fri 20-Oct-17 13:24:27

Too gory for a 12 and 14 year old? DC are keen to watch!

LouiseBrooks Fri 20-Oct-17 13:24:54

Absolutely - looking forward to this.

BitOutOfPractice Fri 20-Oct-17 13:31:18

GoldSpot I read this review in the Metro which seemed to suggest it might be

GoldSpot Fri 20-Oct-17 13:39:59

Thanks BitOutOfPractice - that doesn't look hopeful. I have had my eye out for some good drama for us all to watch together - looks like this isn't it.

MomToWedThorFriday Fri 20-Oct-17 13:40:53

It’s quite late for me so I’m recording and watching at Victoria time. Really looking forward to it grin

BitOutOfPractice Fri 20-Oct-17 13:56:54

No, it doesn't look like a normal BBC Sunday evening drama does it? Might be worth watching the first one yourself and seeing what it's like before traumatising the kids for life! grin

GoldSpot Fri 20-Oct-17 14:04:14

Bit I'll be watching it with mil and she has a very low tolerance for violence and 'filth' - I'm not sure if she will last a whole episode - she can be my guinea pig! grin

WipsGlitter Fri 20-Oct-17 14:17:55

Agree Saturday night seems an odd slot for this. I’m looking forward to it though.

IhaveChillyToes Fri 20-Oct-17 14:17:57

Tv review on it this morning said very gory indeed @GoldSpot

IhaveChillyToes Fri 20-Oct-17 14:18:23

But very good

haveacupoftea Fri 20-Oct-17 14:21:54

I didn't realise this was on so soon. Really looking forward to it.

LurkingHusband Fri 20-Oct-17 16:53:19

They were gory times ....

woodhill Fri 20-Oct-17 17:34:54

No definitely not.

I like historical drama but this does not end well and I don't like watching gruesome things

TheOtherNNB Fri 20-Oct-17 17:36:31

Oh yes

maddiemookins16mum Fri 20-Oct-17 18:47:32

There's only one reason I'm watching.....

Montacute Fri 20-Oct-17 18:59:44

I stopped fancying Kit Harringtom once I found out he was Smurf height.

IhaveChillyToes Fri 20-Oct-17 19:19:21
