I loved it too!! We haven’t had such a good premier for ages now. Loved Teddy and Andrews sister but heartbroken about the Amelia thing Sad

It was sad I was thinking we're going to have another year of Amelia's mood swings. Wonder what's going to happen with rigs and Meredith.

It's a getting another spinoff so can't wait for that hopefully it'll be better then private practice.

I wouldn't have minded if the entire thing had consisted of Andrew and his sister arguing in Italian, marvellous.

Did Owen's sister's hair change colour between one episode and the next? Maybe she had better hairdressing facilities in what appears to have been a rather nice hostage situation - even by Grey's standards this seems to be stretching credibility somewhat.

I did like seeing Mer in Ellis mode, though.

Hi everyone. I'm ashamed to say my Grey's knowledge is not all it should be Blush. We've had it flagged that the UK might be behind the US on this one, and that this thread is at US pace. If it is, and if you'd like us to pop on a spoiler alert, then just hit report to let us know.

Matilda2013 · 30/09/2017 17:57

Yes this is US paced so may be best

I watched it earlier today and am still ShockSmile at it. Loved Andrew and his sister storyline.

Good twist at the end. With the best brain surgeon in the country no longer with us who’s going to treat it!?

Are you in the U.K.?

Yes in the UK

I'm still hoping Jackson and April get back together, as much as I like Maggie.

I loved when Richard reminded Alex and April of how awful they were as interns / residents.

I didn't get why Meredith said "it's a long story" when Owens sister asked who Derek was, surely she'd have said "my husband, he died" or something less secretive?

@MrsFionaCharming I want Maggie and Jackson to get together I don't really like April any more.

Loved it when Bailey was telling joe how men shouldn't tell women how to feel.

Why isn't it broadcasting in the UK yet? It's not fair!

shittyshitybangbang · 30/09/2017 18:56

I think it airs next week in the U.K. .It's usually one or two episodes behind.

I want Jackson and April back together too!
And I really don’t like Amelia so they better not stretch that one out for the whole series.

I loved it too, poor Amelia, there's no one to fix her Sad

I am not sure about Jackson and Maggie, I can't decide if I want them to be a couple or not.

Also loving Bailey in feminist mode. Good start to the season!

Amelia is the only neurosurgeon good enough to fix a tumour the size of hers Sad I can't face losing her as well as Derek. I LOVED Meredith taking lead of everyone and completely owning it, she's really come into her own these last few seasons, love her.

I'd be fine with them killing off Amelia, never warmed to her. I've just found out she was in Private Practice first, which I gave up on early on (due to poorer internet streaming sites back then). Maybe if I'd stuck with it, I'd care more about her.

Report
SportyBobster · 30/09/2017 20:47

Derek has lots of sisters! Any other neurosurgeons among them??

Report
Matilda2013 · 30/09/2017 20:49

Didn’t Meredith do some neurosurgery back in the day when they had the tumour on the bedroom wall?

Amelia was even more of a pain in the arse in Private Practice if that's possible to imagine. I still haven't worked out WTF actually went wrong with her marriage within hours of the wedding. Owen said he wanted kids, she freaked out, and that was that? (Although I suppose now we are meant to think there was an underlying cause to it all).

ChristineAndTheQueens · 30/09/2017 22:37

Tribpot - Amelia lost a child very traumatically which could explain why she's hesitant about more children.

Report
tribpot · 30/09/2017 23:24

Oh yes, I know why she is reluctant - but it seems somewhat of an overreaction to detonate an hours-old marriage over an issue which you would (except on telly) have discussed beforehand. Not that I think she should feel in any way obliged to go through another pregnancy.
