Astronauts - Do you have what it takes - narrator?

It's driving me mad! Can anyone tell me who the narrator is? I recognise the voice but can't place it!

One of the candidates sounds like Prof Brian Cox though.

I think he did one of those dead people shows - like silent witness, but a different one. If it's the guy I think it is, he's also done some period dramas.... but I don't know his name so can't check!

Anyway, was searching for a thread on this program, I just love Tim, I really really want him to win. I loved him at the 'party' with his mum last night.

As a considerably older mum lol - I have a special place in my heart for Adrian Dunbar as I used to watch him as a young fledgling actor at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast long before he became famous

I love Adrian Dunbar, and I love this show, its really interesting, I think the candidates are great, don't think I'd have the nerve for any of it.

I'm just watching it now so don't know the winner yet.
I only realised it was on half way through the series. I thought the winner would become an astronaut but isn't it just that the space expert (don't know his actual title) just gives them a recommendation to become one??

Yes, when they apply for astronaut training, they'll get a recommendation from Cmdr Hadfield. Plus they will have done some of the selection tests before!

I really liked this series, though all the contestants made me feel like an under-achiever with their PhDs It was great to see people being celebrated for their intelligence and hard work.

I just kind of thought after all that they might have something more concrete to show for it but they might not even make it to be an astronaut after all still.

I would so not want to be an astronaut.

A recommendation from Chris Hadfield (who is much more than just a space expert) is a massive plus to put on your application. It’s such a hard thing to get in to and that’ll give them a real advantage.

I’m glad Suzie won over Kerry, she was a far better all round candidate. I love Tim though, he seems so genuinely lovely.

loved Tim getting excited about the zips on his jumpsuit right at the very end . Pleased Suzie won, although why did we have to wait till the last episode to find out that she discovered and then climbed mountains in her spare time?

Didn't warm to Kerry at all, we felt she was being forced down our throats as the winner from early on (a la Candice last year in Bake Off), so it was good that the editing wasn't as signposting as it could have been.

It had definitely been mentioned about Suzie in one of the early episodes, maybe 2 or 3? She was the right choice especially given Tim and his closeness with his family.

I cried too dimples! My kids thought it was hilarious!

We were rooting for Tim, but Suzie was pretty incredible too and yes, we did already know about her being an explorer extraordinaire. Tim's future is so so bright doing something amazing that's for sure!

Kerry was just too robotic and insincere, saying what she thought she should say rather than being natural.
