Any Nashville fans traumatised by tonight's episode? sad

TwoScottieDogs Sat 24-Jun-17 01:10:04

Yes I am! Do you think she might pull through still????

ComeTheFuck0nBridget Sat 24-Jun-17 11:23:24

I've just watched it on On Demand and came straight here to try and find a spoiler!! Surely they can't kill off arguably the main character??

Moanyoldcow Sat 24-Jun-17 12:22:14

Well, I think it was pretty clear she's gone but we can hope??

I love Rayna which is odd as I never usually like goody-goody characters but she was awesome.

Plus, all people like Juliet being there - it's like they were there to say 'goodbye'.

I found Maddy beyond annoying last night too - why the fuck wasn't she at the hospital waiting like a normal person?

It's possible I'm too invested in this...

MiddleClassProblem Sat 24-Jun-17 13:06:07

I knew it was coming after accidentally seeing a spoiler a while ago but it still had me in tears!

Sorry guys but she's not coming back x

MiddleClassProblem Sat 24-Jun-17 13:07:02

And yes! Why did it seem to take Maddy 24 hrs to get there? And like 5 the night before. Clay's car must go 5 miles an hour

Moanyoldcow Sat 24-Jun-17 13:20:33

I know!

'She'll be in surgery for 4 hours'

Surely you get your arse back 3.5 hours later just to be sure.

Clay is hot though... blush

Omg I'm totally traumatised. I love rayna and she can't be out of it now. She's is the centre of the whole show and it just won't be the same. Shocking.

dingdongdigeridoo Sun 25-Jun-17 09:42:39

The show has kind of declined in quality anyway. It moved networks in the US which is usually a sign of trouble, and it's felt a bit soapy and low budget since then.

Rayna dying will probably be the end of the show. sad

MynameisJune Sun 25-Jun-17 09:51:35

The new season isn't shaping up too badly without her. They are introducing some new female characters as well.

AlcoholandIrony Sun 25-Jun-17 15:51:26

I can't stop crying after the end of that episode sad

TheweewitchRoz Sun 25-Jun-17 16:46:37

I've just watched it & totally traumatised - I loved Rayna.

Totally agree that this season isn't as good as previously & miss the music & having a baddie (her dad & then Jeff) to hate but still enjoy it overall.

Can't imagine what it will be like without Rayna sad

Yep, very shocked. Am really not looking forward to Deacon and Maddie trying to out-do each other on the self pity front for the next few eps! I watched the pilot again the other day, it was much grittier than the more recent series. And apparently there is a season 6 to come....

DH & I said the same. It'll be all about Deacon circling his mean drunk plughole. Poor Daphne, stuck with this bunch of idiots and her bio Dad in chokey where he can't help her out.

And that English director is abusive twat - I am not sure I can bear to see Scarlet do this to herself. Gunnar is a bit clueless & thinks with his dick, but he's not an abusive twat. sad

MiddleClassProblem Sun 25-Jun-17 17:10:01

I'm not sure if they write the beginning of this series with all its positive endings in prep for Rayna's death and then it will be grittier? I'm not sure. I hope it gets some edge again but we don't ever ben have Layla stirring. You're right that there are no real baddies at the mo, just a few business partners who are a bit hmm

AlcoholandIrony Sun 25-Jun-17 17:25:22

I liked Gunnar of previous series. He's become a bit mopey and just hoping that Scarlett will fall in line. I don't like the director much either but I'm much happier when Scarlett has a bit of backbone. Remember when she used to be with Avery?

MynameisJune Sun 25-Jun-17 19:49:20

Fresh and Illegitimate - not the direction they've gone in actually although that's also what I expected.

MiddleClassProblem Sun 25-Jun-17 22:30:03

Maybe it's all a dream and Juliette will wake up in hospital after the plane accident

dingdongdigeridoo Sun 25-Jun-17 22:32:53

I don't want to see Deacon have another relapse. His addiction storylines are getting a bit tedious.

Scarlet is super annoying lately. I think it's her moody face and little girl voice. Not sure what Gunnar sees in her.

illegitimateMortificadospawn Mon 26-Jun-17 06:58:51

Thanks June. Will let DH know, as he was muttering about calling it a day after this week's episode.

AdalindSchade Mon 26-Jun-17 07:03:31

I cried a lot. Sad.

Scarlett is the WORST

She behaves like a little baby during the video shoot and then decides she has to
Leave gunnar despite being in a band with him and just getting back with him so she can shag the horrible director? All the while pouting and doing her wide eyed I'm just an innocent little girl schtick. Gross.

MiddleClassProblem Mon 26-Jun-17 12:22:20

I feel like it's since the haircut she became more annoying

footballmum Mon 26-Jun-17 13:25:17

I'd heard (it might have been on here) that it is the last series which they've made on a really limited budget, hence why some characters like Juliette, Will and Luke aren't in every episode. Maybe they couldn't afford to pay Connie Britton for the full season?!! I knew it was coming but was still pretty bereft sad

MynameisJune Mon 26-Jun-17 13:48:49

Football mum season 6 is on in the US already. It's much better than season 5. I think CMT were waiting to see the response to season 5 as that was their first season. Season 6 is getting back to the roots with more music than season 5.

footballmum Mon 26-Jun-17 14:15:35

Ooh really-that's great news! I'd resigned myself to the fact that this would be the end!
