Anyone else think the twins are horrible to Kate?

They speak to her how she spoke to Jon whilst he was still in it
So I have no sympathy for her I think she's vile

No capes

I know what you mean but someone has to be in charge and he was such a drip. I saw her more as a stressed person responsible for everything.

Throw Hannah it to that too. Horrible attitude. I think Alexis is lovely.

Maddie is especially horrible to her.

My daughter is named after Leah. First heard the name on there 12 years ago and loved it.

It's an odd one isn't it. I've got a love/hate relationship with Kate. Don't you just think maybe that's how teens speak to their parents sometimes? (Haven't seen the 16th birthday episode though yet)

Alexis - quirky
Hannah - mummsy
Leah - lovely
Colin - why has he gone away?
Boys both seem nice
Cara - very shy
Mady - obnoxious

Jon was a wet blanket

I've watched it forever and I'm in awe of how organised she is but not sure it does the kids any favours though. Forced fun sometimes.

I read a while ago that Kate was being investigated for abuse towards Colin, apparently he said some things while he was away that made the staff worried. Not sure how true this is but in Kates journal that she kept she would often write that Colin irrated her and would smack him harder than needed.

'My daughter is named after Leah. First heard the name on there 12 years ago and loved it. '

You'd never heard of the name Leah before some naff reality telly series about a vile woman and her litter? Really? It's old enough to have made the Old Testament, Leah was the first wife of Jacob.

12 years ago it wasn't common at all in England. Yes I'd heard of it but hearing it used in the programme a lot I decided I really liked it.

"First heard" was a bit misleading. What I really meant was the first person I "knew" that was called it. Does that make it any better for you? Wink

She isn't 'organised' she's a control freak and very, quite frighteningly tightly wound, I'm on pins waiting for her to explode all the time, God knows how it must feel living with her
All the 'nice' moments seem so forces and false

I don't think Jon was a 'drip' in the earlier series, she just wouldn't have anything but her own way, so eventually he stopped bothering

Oh and Leah is a very common name Confused don't know where you live Flappy
I went to school with 2 (I'm 27) my 14 year old niece is called Leah and DDs best friends Mum (early thirties) is called Leah, so yes common over 12 years ago too

Oh, c'mon! It's a Biblical name. Those have been common enough in England and elsewhere for millennia. Hmm

Always felt rather sorry for Leah. First of all she was betrothed to Esau, who was a murderer and could be a nasty piece of work so she begged God for a change. Then she managed to be married to Jacob, but he did not love her as much as he loved Rachel, her sister, despite her having all those babies.

Well I'd personally known anyone called Leah before I watched the programme. That is a fact.

It was Leah Betts that brought the name to my attention.

Do I need to watch this show? Is it as good as the small people that live on the farm?

My goodness that's a blast from the past, I watched this all the time years ago. She had some of the girls on a talk show a few years ago and they where cheeky imps to the mother. I remember cringing at the time and then my dc reached teenagedom and I understood.

^^ this exactly, she was awful to Jon in the early series.

Not sure Jon was a drip but rather micro managed and belittled by Kate.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 20/05/2017 08:50

No I think Mady is hilarious and much more grown up than Kate. Cara doesn't say much but seems quite grown up and just over Kate's dramatics.

I feel bad that Collin is missing out on all the cool space camp/adventure weekend/new orleans (was it NO?) trips etc, even the sextuplets birthday party, he wasn't brought back for!!!!! Shock
