Can't find a thread am
I missing it?

Zhabr Mon 15-May-17 10:30:09

me. it was a couple of lines some weeks ago. I still enjoy it. There are lot's of spoilers on You Tube.

Wormulonian Mon 15-May-17 13:12:48

I thought the first episode of this new series was a bit dull but it has perked up again. Still looks sumptuous and stunning.

Zhabr Mon 15-May-17 18:24:32

I agree that the first episode was rather dull, because Chevallier was not there.

cosytoaster Mon 15-May-17 18:28:56

Oooh - thought DS1 and I were the only people still watching it! We love it grin

Wormulonian Tue 16-May-17 09:21:20

Shocked last week when I thought Fabien Marchal had had it - glad he survived but I think he recovered a bit too quickly and easily. Philippe is being very mean to his new wife - she could be a good ally and friend. Poor Sophie sad

Zhabr Tue 16-May-17 12:29:33

well, Philippe will be nicer to her soon...

I can't find the Guardian blog for this series, have they stopped doing it? I'll be disappointed if so, I really enjoyed the one from the first series. I briefly considered having Madame du Horizontal Hair as a user name, and have been known to exclaim 'Tout le
Monde has gone ape-merde!' in moments of stress grin

I'm terrible with names so may struggle to keep up with thread but I'm watching. I mostly get distracted by the beautiful shiny hair of the king & his brother. I've never been so jealous of hair before!

TheHiphopopotamus Tue 16-May-17 19:21:13

Yes, yes, me!

I love it. I haven't a clue what's going on or who's who (although I can tell them apart a bit better this series) but I love it!

Montespan is a bitch this series, though. Philippe is hotter than ever and I'm really liking his new wife.

(Also harbouring a teeny, weeny crush on Georg Blagden as Louis and his GHD'd swishy locks and fancy pantaloons)

ethanrayne Tue 16-May-17 20:28:20

I think I have a crush on the brother bizarrely.

Yes poor Sophie -I hope he gets what is coming to him!

ethanrayne Tue 16-May-17 20:28:53

Oh and seconded about the Guardianblog, I looked but could not find!

cosytoaster Tue 16-May-17 20:59:21

Ha ha - I have a double crush on the King and his brother - all to do with the swishy hair. Really liking Philippe's new wife (also rubbish remembering names) and hoping they can at least be friends.

winewolfhowls Tue 16-May-17 21:54:20

Hello! I love this programme, it's IMHO better this series. Hurry up and get together doctor woman and Marcel dude. Was really sorry the gardener got killed off, his relationship with the King was developing interestingly.

ethanrayne Tue 16-May-17 21:57:37

Yes I like the new wife. I think it's much better this series as well!

Wormulonian Tue 16-May-17 22:31:13

Also disappointed about the Guardian blog - they seem to have cut back on them and only have one for Doctor Who and American Gods for active TV shows atm.

Phillipe is stunning

alabasterangel Tue 16-May-17 22:34:06

There was a thread. Where has it gone? I've studied this bit of history. I'm loving it. It's relatively accurate but some bits are very wonky! Do appreciate it's for fun though rather than education! I shan't give you historical spoilers wink

Stripyhoglets Tue 16-May-17 23:37:42

I love it even more now - I binge watched tjthe e first sieries again which helped sort out who is who amongst the brown haired moustached chaps. I love Philippe - he's beautiful.

AppleYumYum Wed 24-May-17 22:54:42

I have been catching up on my recorded episodes and am really enjoying it, but v sad about no Guardian blog or anywhere for that matter sad. I used to love watching then going straight to read the review for a laugh.

winewolfhowls Fri 26-May-17 22:10:31

Nooooo, not the lady doctor! She was my favourite. Indeed I am loving all the strong women characters in this show

Honkyzeke Fri 02-Jun-17 22:21:37

This series just keeps getting better, can't believe more people aren't watching! Louis and Philippe are beautiful!

Zhabr Fri 02-Jun-17 22:31:07

The scene between Phillipe and Liselotte was excellent, and I nearly cried for poor Chevaller. They are all amazing actors.

Honkyzeke Fri 02-Jun-17 22:50:26

Liselotte is a great addition, such great character and very different attitude to the others in the palace, she has a heart!

Stripyhoglets Tue 06-Jun-17 00:52:18

I loved that scene between philippe and liselotte - just watched it tonight - beautiful acting
