Looks good

ChangeAComin Thu 30-Mar-17 21:10:17

I'm cringing.

I feel for the 'poor' family. Like 'here's what you'll never have'.

Ginmakesitallok Thu 30-Mar-17 21:12:45

I don't really get the point to be honest.

Pepperedpig Thu 30-Mar-17 21:13:54

I'm watching.

Housewife2010 Thu 30-Mar-17 21:14:37

The poor family seem really nice. They're hard working.

ChangeAComin Thu 30-Mar-17 21:16:54

They're gonna be living the high life! Good for them.

£1700 for one week - how lovely must that be?!

jigster01 Thu 30-Mar-17 21:26:47

The young family seem to have beautifully behaved children ...Come across as a lovely family ,they all do actually

ChangeAComin Thu 30-Mar-17 21:28:07

Poor dad is so lovely!

ChangeAComin Thu 30-Mar-17 21:28:48

Do people really have three washing machines?!

RJnomore1 Thu 30-Mar-17 21:30:38

Rich family dad seems like a really nice guy as well!

Howlongtillbedtime Thu 30-Mar-17 21:30:44

I have only seen the last ten mins but I like that they all seem lovely so far.

FlouncingInTheRain Thu 30-Mar-17 21:31:54

I tnink of myself as the rich family but then they talk about house prices and ours is less than the poor family one.

How you feel about your lot has to come into things surely?

Iamcheeseman Thu 30-Mar-17 21:32:44

I'm watching. I live in the poor town and have taught in the school on the council estate featured yet went to secondary school in the rich area and had friends who lived in houses like that!
Both families seem lovely so far.

troodiedoo Thu 30-Mar-17 21:33:04

They all seem lovely. I do hope there isn't a twist and some kind of confrontation ensues.

Channel 5 do like a bit of poverty porn.

ExcuseMyEyebrows Thu 30-Mar-17 21:33:09

I'd love to have three washing machines and a dog shower! (I don't have a dog but still..)

MingeFog Thu 30-Mar-17 21:33:13

I think they're both nice families, in their own way. I hope they get to meet at the end and talk about the week.

Housewife2010 Thu 30-Mar-17 21:37:01

Since reading that Ben Fogle has 3 dishwashers, 1 never seems enough.

RJnomore1 Thu 30-Mar-17 21:39:28

I need two. One clean one dirty. Dh disagrees!

daffodilbrain Thu 30-Mar-17 21:40:44

I know people with swimming pools but not 3 washing machines is that a thing?

Both families seem lovely. "Poor" dad needs a break he's intelligent, resilient especially given his upbringing and he knows the value of family. I hope something positive comes of it

Janus Thu 30-Mar-17 21:42:48

They are all so lovely but i do feel bad for the 'poor' family who have a taste of what they could never afford. I want them to have all that stuff too.
(Hate to say I have 2 washing machines though but do have 4 kids, the washing still never ends!!)

Blankscreen Thu 30-Mar-17 21:43:59

I think both family come across really well.

That litte boy when he got his traniners.....

What does the rich dad do for a living i wondered?

Housewife2010 Thu 30-Mar-17 21:44:31

It would be nice if the rich dad used his contacts to get the poor one a break.

Housewife2010 Thu 30-Mar-17 21:45:25

The rich one set up his own software company. He sold it off and retired early.

daffodilbrain Thu 30-Mar-17 21:47:54

What did the £1700 a week budget have to pay for? Mortgage? School fees? Other bills? Food????

Pepperedpig Thu 30-Mar-17 21:48:13

They're all coming across really well I think.
