What Do you actually watch live on TV these days

Just looked at the TV listings and there is nothing on I could give a fig about tonight. Same last night, bar the sacred university challenged when all the family gather round the box and yell, just live TV used to be....and of course Only Connect on catch up before or after.

I guess masterchef is starting soon that'll be OK but other than that....

Off to watch broadchurch I think or the Cop one that started at the weekend on catch up.

What is actually worth watching these days? I used to do casualty but that's a farce, DH likes trains and Mr Portillo to sleep in front of mostly but I reckon he's "seen" (LOL) all of those ( there was a very sweet mini series about Indian Hill Railways on BBC4 recently that we iplayered too)

The only show I sit down and watch when it's broadcast is Call the Midwife. I don't watch a huge amount else but anything else is watched as and when I feel like it.

Strictly, the Bake Off (RIP), the Sewing Bee (RIP I think; sob) and the Throw Down.

Early Sherlock before it disappeared up its/Steven Moffat's arse.

Broadchurch at the mo, if DP and I are both home at the right time.

Everything else I record.

Strictly, Throw-down etc because there's too much chance of finding out the result before you see it otherwise and people do still chat about them the next day.

The Brokenwood Mysteries. Its a great series set in New Zealand. Its on Drama, Friday night at 8. Its less predictable than most TV cop shows. I thinks its the best thing on TV at the moment.

We are more likely to record commercial channels so that we can ff the adverts.

The news.
Literally everything else I record and watch when I fancy.

News here too. As all the good stuff is on at 9pm, I watch the BBC and then the rest on recorded for the obvious reason.

Strictly, Call the midwife, Coronation Street and Death in Paradise. I can take or leave everything else.

Nothing! I got sick of flicking through channel after channel so I cancelled sky - they are now trying to tempt me back with half price for a year. I'm still not tempted!

At the moment I'm watching Line of Duty on Sundays, Broadchurch on Mondays, The Good Fight on Thursdays and Masterchef.

I also watched Call the Midwife and the Replacement recently.

That's a lot more than usual. I tend to binge watch stuff on Netflix so it's hard to get used to waiting a week for the next episodes!
