I always feel better after stuff like that. They go through those enormous lists that add £1000's to the total, and we don't have hardly any of it. We do the one income thing, and people are always saying it's not possible to do unless the one wage earner has a six figure salary or something. Based on the calculations they made on there, I'm not surprised people think that.

But, for the record, Dp doesn't earn a massive wage, but we get by. If it really cost that much to raise children, humanity would never have lasted beyond two generations..
