Hope you got a train eventually apsara

Just seen some rather mean posts on twitter. Not sure why people feel the need mock others.

Thanks. Finally got home over an hour late as I then got locked on a train that was cancelled which they wouldn't let us off

CTM was excellent tonight. Actress who played Nafula in OG - Yusra Warsama was brilliant

I'm away for the weekend and forgot to record it. Will it make me cry? It usually does.

I'm in Chester Nickel. Well, staying in a hotel/gastropub about 5 miles outside the centre. Back to work Tuesday though. Just about to have a leisurely shower and down to breakfast for their full English.

Richtea thought about you this morning as we drove through the village where one of the 'Real Housewives of Cheshire' lives - no sign of her though. Probably too wet for her to be outside in her designer shoes! We also passed the hotel where you stayed in Alderley Edge.

Chester is so accessible from our neck of the woods, isn't it ice?

Hope you had a lovely time in Chester ilove. We had a night away on Friday staying at a lovely B&B/gastro pub, our first night away together since DS was born, 6 years ago. Yesterday went to visit my mum in hospital (she had a fall last week and broke her hip). She was pretty out of it and looked horribly tiny and frail, so a weekend of contrasts.

I really like Chester zoo ice (animal habitats are as close as they can to the wild in terms of roaming room etc). Haven't been for ages though. Maybe we could do a meet up with the kids x

That would be fab apsara. Will definitely be up for that.

We've not been for a few years, 3 year old wants to go to zoo for his birthday in July.

Have you recovered from your trip home yesterday

pixie that sounds a rather traumatic weekend. Does your Mum live some distance from you or is it easy to pop along to visit? It's sad to see one's parents vulnerable like that.

Back to work tomorrow. It's been a busy couple of days. The weather was horrible today. There were proper snowflakes this afternoon - big fat ones - but luckily they didn't stick. It was too wet I suppose as it had tipped it down half the morning.

Sorry to hear about your mum Pixie. My father broke his hip three years ago. He was in his mid-80s so his mobility was badly affected. It's a horrible thing to happen. I hope your mum is improving and will recover well.

Ilove I got caught out in a tremendous thunder and hail storm today. Fortunately I was on my way to the swimming pool so getting wet didn't matter quite so much!

pix sorry to hear about your mums fall.

A weekend away! Did you end up talking about DS! I find even when we managed to get time on our own they still feel like they're with us!

I saw 50 Shades on Sunday with the girls from work. I actually enjoyed it, I'm no critic though. I did chuckle to myself as I saw BA on Saturday and JamieD Sunday, two hotties over the weekend! JD looked so much better as he was sporting a light beard, he is someone that suits facial hair rather than baby face smooth look.

Anyone making pancakes today?

pix sending hugs. Hope your mum is doing ok. Xx
rich I've just popped onto Facebook, and it seems everyone has beautiful pics of their kids eating pancakes for breakfast!!! How do people have so much time in the morning? One of mine is still asleep, the other is watching TV, I'm boiling pasta for kids lunch!!! While yelling at DH and da to get out of bed! Still, will do pancakes for tea, savoury and sweet .... Good excuse!! :) happy pancake day everyone.

I made my pancakes on Sunday and froze them (a sheet of grease proof between each one). 30 seconds in the microwave and you have a pancake. A bit of a cheat, but I barely have time for anything, MrP is away for most of the next 2 weeks.

Glad you had a lovely weekend Rich and everyone else who got to go to the play at the weekend.

Thanks for the thoughts for my mum. She's still young but she's had health problems for most of her adult life so has the body of someone about 20 years older than she is. It's hard to remember what she was like when I was little sometimes, it's like a different person. She was just about recovered from breaking her other hip in October last year when this happened so it's a big set back. They live over an hours drive away, so a bit far to pop in. I'm looking at getting a help alarm installed for them so my dad doesn't have to feel like he has to be with her all the time.
