In series 2, I was really pissed off with utterly ludicrous stuff like depicting the family having to run around finding a prosecution barrister when it's nothing whatsoever to do with them, and indeed the prosecution barrister driving a coach and horses through professional conduct rules generally. It made me suspend faith in most of the rest of it, and gave me a feeling that if they couldn't be bothered with basic research then why should I bother with the series.

I was disappointed with Series 2 also. Huge suspension of disbelief needed for it.

The second series was so dire that DH is refusing to watch series 3 (we are both lawyers and were getting very cross with the ridiculous lack of any research whatsoever)

Series 2 was terrible and I gave up part way through. I won't bother with series 3. Shame because we go to West Bay every year and the kids like spotting things in Broadchurch We missed David Tennant at the chip kiosk by minutes once.
