I want to watch a good film on Netflix
(35 Posts)so far I have seen, Still Life, and Testament of Youth.
I need something uplifting, but well made.
Brooklyn! Lovely story, great actors. I loved it.
thanks
Hunt for the wilderpeople is supposed to be wonderful.
Copenhagen was good. A love story of sorts, but off beat. And Copenhagen looked amazing.
Fundamentals of Caring is properly heartwarming - and quirky. Netflix does good quirky.
Hunt for the wilderpeople is supposed to be wonderful.
Also good, watched it with my 9 yo and we both enjoyed it.
Thanks for more suggestions.
It is so hard to browse Netflix
I was coming on to suggest Hunt for the Wilderpeople too
I really enjoyed Hunt for the Wilderpeople
We watched Theory of Everything last night, Eddie Redmayne is fantastic as Stephen Hawking, definitely an uplifting film.
Another vote for Hunt for the Wilderpeople!
Eddie the Eagle is very uplifting!
Loved Eddie the Eagle but when I did some reading afterwards, there was a lot of editorialising in the film. Made Eddie look a bit of a chump, when he was actually way more switched on and strategic in his approach to the Olympics.
I quite enjoyed Interstellar and ExMachina.
Or try Kung Fury, it's really short, about a Kung Fu cop who goes back in time to kill Hitler. Good fun.
If you like wacky stuff try Rick and Morty.
And Pans Labyrinth, one of the best films of all time.
oh i noticed Exhachina.
interstella has good reivews
Ex Machina was filmed in a Norwegian boutique hotel. After DH and I watched it, we wanted to visit - the views are stunning.
Sing Street. Definitely uplifting. Very funny and some great 80s references. 10 year old dd and I both loved it.
Fundamentals of Caring!

Wild is good, and Theory of Everything.
The Dish
King's Speech
I agree it's hard to search on Netflix, I wish they had a "films" section like Amazon
Is Arrival on Netflix yet?
