Documentary revealing the inside story of what happens when someone is accused of a serious crime that could lead to a prison sentence of 10 years or more, following the suspect's journey through the criminal justice system. Featuring access to the defendant, her family and her legal team, the film shows every twist and turn of this traumatic experience, from the realisation of being charged, to the first meeting with the defence team and right up to the trail itself and the subsequent verdict.

I have missed the first fifteen minutes. Just switched over

Pretty harrowing. I'm a bit surprised that they have been able to make this considering the nature of the crime.

Shaken baby? I cat fathom the gist yet.

I'm watching this , I don't think I believe her

I assumed from the advert the baby had died.. missed the first 10 minutes.

Baby was taken into care. She then had another which was also removed

It's difficult to watch. I'm not convinced of her innocence either.

Report
Afreshstartplease · 06/02/2017 21:35

She doesn't seem at all emotional about anything. She's just said she has fun doing bloody boot sales

There's something odd about the mum. When I first started watching it I thought it was bad acting, didn't realise it was a real life doc.

He called a baby a greedy cunt.
But she says he couldn't have done it????
She waited, was it, six minutes between googling baby won't wake up, and calling for help???
Nah, she's guilty!!

Report
Afreshstartplease · 06/02/2017 21:37

And she's still basically in a relationship with him

Shes seems very ....young and not quite there i think the 2nd baby removal probably finished her off, in terms of state of mind, not sure what to think half way through atm, shes very flat....

I'm trying to read her too. Seems odd to stay with the bf after she said he was verbally abusive.

Report
karmassidekick · 06/02/2017 21:41

She's odd. I'm keeping an open mind, but if 16 medical professionals have said the baby was shaken..
He did it, and if he had been abusing the mum too maybe she has some sort of stokholm syndrome.? Not making excuses I just can't fathom how a healthy person would want anything to do with somone who even might have done that to your baby. Any doubt would be too much.
Why has her contact with the child decreased so much? She didn't really mention the younger one

Report
grounddown · 06/02/2017 21:42

If he supposedly didn't do it and she didn't do it, who caused those injuries??

Report
RTKangaMummy · 06/02/2017 21:42

Can someone work out the maths for me please?

Had she had baby 2 taken away before or after voluntary police interviews?

I can't work it out, but I think that's the idea to show us what the legal team have to deal with

I'm watching this too. Awful case.
I'm unsure of the mum so far.

So sad when women like her can't see how a man is destroying their life! How does she think the baby got injured?

Report
gemdrop84 · 06/02/2017 21:48

It's so sad, she's very adamant he hasn't done anything so who did? It was 8 mins between the internet search for "why baby won't wake up" and calling nhs 111...that would feel like forever if your baby floppy/unresponsive wouldn't it?! Her mum seemd really odd too but glad she's involved in her dgc life.
